[Bug 598308] Re: Volume at login set to Maximum

2012-07-25 Thread Stefan Lithén
I started to get this problem when I put in a new soundcard.

The new soundcard is Asus Xonar DX.

The alsa volumes are restored as they should but pulse volume is set to like
100% but the slider in ubuntu/unity 12.04 is set to what is was before reboot.
Just changing the slider a little bit sets the correct voume to pulseserver.

I have also this issue in KDE.

[Bug 896608] Re: Libreoffice Writer window not always visible in ALT-TAB switcher

2012-06-21 Thread Stefan Lithén
I had this problem before also but i got fixed.
Now it's back for me again when I'm running vmware-player which suffers from
the same problem!

Anyhow, a workaround for libreoffice that work for me back then ans
still works is to change the link in /usr/bin/libreoffice to point to
../lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin instead of
../lib/libreoffice/program/soffice (mind the .bin at the end).

[Bug 1016016] [NEW] vmware-player is not recognised by BAMF

2012-06-21 Thread Stefan Lithén
Public bug reported:

vmware-player is not recognised by BAMF which makes it not visable in
unity panel and also not in ALT+Tab switch.

This acutally also brought back another simular bug to libreoffice I once
reported that is now closed.

[Bug 995112] [NEW] scrolling in playlist behaves strange sometimes

2012-05-05 Thread Stefan Lithén
Public bug reported:

If I scroll in the playlist using the mousewheel it scrolls a few lines at a
time as it should.
But if I then mose to another windows like a terminal or webbrowser and scroll
much there and then go back to audacious and start to scroll, it scrolls like
pages instead.

It's exactly like the scrolling I do in another program gets in the
scrollbuffer of audacious.
It does not happen though when scrolling in nautilus. But it does happen when
scrolling in gnome-terminal or firefox.

[Bug 953349] [NEW] keybindings for chaging desktop gets sent to the running application

2012-03-12 Thread Stefan Lithén
Public bug reported:

If I bind keys using the system
settings-keyboard-shortcuts-navigation (or the same in for
example ccsm) to ctrl+F# then it does change to that desktop using those
keys, but it also sends the key-combo to the running application.

To reproduce:

Bind the ctrl+F1 to F4 to switch to desktop 1 to 4.

open a Terminal on desktop 1

press ctrl+F3 and see that you gets switched to desktop 3

press ctrl+F1 and see that you gets switched to desktop 1 and also
notice that you will have ;5R written in the terminal.

[Bug 887617] Re: libreoffice does not always go to launcher when started with document

2012-03-03 Thread Stefan Lithén
No its still there in 3.5.0

What have been changed is that /usr/bin/libreoffice now is a link,
but not to /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin but rather
/usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice and that still makes the problem be there.

[Bug 887617] Re: libreoffice does not always go to launcher when started with document

2012-01-20 Thread Stefan Lithén
It seems to have been fixed in libreoffice 3.4.5 (I got it from their
PPA)

[Bug 887617] Re: libreoffice does not always go to launcher when started with document

2011-11-13 Thread Stefan Lithén
Removing /usr/bin/libreoffice and instead making it a link to
/usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin fixes the problem/bug.

Could it be that /usr/bin/libreoffice is started with /bin/sh that also
starts /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice wich also is started through
/bin/sh ?

** Package changed: unity (Ubuntu) = libreoffice (Ubuntu)

[Bug 887617] Re: libreoffice does not always go to launcher when started with shortcut keys

2011-11-11 Thread Stefan Lithén
** Description changed:

- If I make a keyboard shortcut to launch an office docuement with
- something like..
+ Some times when opening a libreoffice docuement, it does not go to the
+ unity launcher (no icon) and therefore also is not in the alt-tab list
+ so I can't alt-tab to the application.

- ctrl+alt+e launches soffice Documents/mydoc.ods
-
- then it most of the times does not go to the launcher (no icon) and
- therefore also is not in the alt-tab list so I can't alt-tab to the
- application.
-
- On my faster machine it does never show and on my slower machine it
- sometimes show.
-
- A bit hard to reprocude since it behaves kind of different.
-
- This seems only true for libreoffice (or maybe java apps in common?)
+ To reproduce: try opening and closing a openoffice document many times
+ by dubble clicking a docuement in nautilus of from a terminal och make a
+ keyboard shortcut to start it soffice Document/myspreadsheet.ods

** Summary changed:

- libreoffice does not always go to launcher when started with shortcut keys
+ libreoffice does not always go to launcher when started with document

[Bug 887617] Re: libreoffice does not always go to launcher when started with shortcut keys

2011-11-08 Thread Stefan Lithén
It happens both in unity and unity-2d.

Worked fine in ubuntu 11.04 and it also works fine in kubuntu 11.10
(though kubuntu really does not have the same kind of launcher as unity
of course).

[Bug 852017] [NEW] xfce4-indicator-plugin does not update output

2011-09-16 Thread Stefan Lithén
Public bug reported:

I'm trying to use indicator-sysmonitor in xubuntu 11.10 and it does not refresh
the output text from the indicator.
It works great in xubuntu 11.04 and also in both ubuntu 11.04 and 11.10 so it
seems the problem is in the xfce4-indicator-plugin for xubuntu 11.10.

(The indicator-sysmonitor is a simple indicator that outputs
text/sysinfo in interval)

[Bug 768662] Re: One big file keeps starting to upload every time I log in

2011-06-23 Thread Stefan Lithén
I have the same problem I think.
Usually big files get uploaded to 100% (but I do never get the sync complete).
I have fast internet connection and it works great with other simular sites
like dropbox.

I updated to nvidia driver version 275.09.07 using philip5's PPA and that
solved the problem for me.
