[Bug 1932328] Re: Thunderbird under Wayland does not correctly close (or manage) windows
I just noticed that the same issue appears while using Inkscape: open the export dialog, export the image and close the dialog. Then you will still see two dots in the dock near the inkscape icon. And if you quit Inkscape, on dot remains and ALT-TAB doesn't work anymore. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1932328 Title: Thunderbird under Wayland does not correctly close (or manage) windows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1932328/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1857392] Re: Window manager warning: Overwriting existing binding of keysym 37 with keysym 37 (keycode 10).
If this adds clarity, these messages for me appear when I switch language keyboard layout. Funny thing, is that when I switch layout, either with META-SPACE or from the panel applet, when using the laptop keyword, the layout stays the same. If I start typing from the external keyboard, the keyboard switches back to English. For example * start with keyboard layout in English * from the laptop keyboard hit META-Spacebar * the layout indicator switches to Italian layout syslog shows a series of WM warnings like `Jan 11 10:10:57 x gnome- shell[2533]: Window manager warning: Overwriting existing binding of keysym 39 with keysym 39 (keycode 12).` * type keys on the laptop internal keyboard to verify the layout is indeed Italian * then type on external keyboard * syslog shows a new series of WM warnings, identical to the previous series * the keyboard layout is now back to English, while the applet indicator is still showing Italian layout Any clue? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1857392 Title: Window manager warning: Overwriting existing binding of keysym 37 with keysym 37 (keycode 10). [Bug 374012] Re: Activating Broadcom STA proprietary driver on MacBook blocks keyboard
I spoke too soon. I tried to connect to the wifi network from Network- Manager and I immediately lost use of the keyboard on Gnome. The keyboard works well on the console though. I checked what files were modified in the last minutes and I found out that these two gconf files were modified: /home/reed/.gconf/desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/host-biancone/0 /home/reed/.gconf/desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/host-biancone/0/%gconf.xml I removed them, rebooted and now the keybard works just fine. [Bug 374012] [NEW] Activating Broadcom STA proprietary driver on MacBook blocks keyboard
Public bug reported: After a fresh install of Ubuntu Jaunty on my MacBook 3.1 I activated the Broadcom STA driver (from System/Administration/Hardware Drivers). I had to reboot the machine to see the wireless card in Network Manager. The problem I noticed at reboot, is that the internal keyboard of the laptop doesn't work. The sympton is that most of the keys don't send any code. Pressing all the keys of the first row, the numbers, only 789 work and pressing 0 sends /. Totally random. It is not a keyboard mapping issue because I checked with xev that keycodes are not sent to xorg at all. If I deactivate the driver from Hardware Drivers the keyboard starts working again. If I disconnect it and try to reconnect it without rebooting I get kernel oops like the following: Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] Oops: [#1] Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] CPU:0 Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] EIP is at make_class_name+0x37/0xb0 Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] eax: ebx: ecx: edx: 000b Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] esi: c998f1b8 edi: ebp: esp: dfe87e50 Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] ds: 007b es: 007b ss: 0068 Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] Process khubd (pid: 1851, threadinfo=dfe86000 task=df8c1a50) Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] Stack: c998f1b8 f8d0af6c c998f1b8 f8d0af6c c998f1c0 c022b6b2 f8d0af00 Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] c998f1b8 0202 dd01b028 cafa9814 c022b788 c998f000 f8cf27d0 Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000]dd01b000 0202 f8cf0053 0246 dd01b000 f8cea8b1 dd01b294 f90719c0 Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] Call Trace: Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] c022b6b2 class_device_del+0x92/0x160 c022b788 class_device_unregister+0x8/0x10 Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] f8cf27d0 __scsi_remove_device+0x30/0x80 [scsi_mod] f8cf0053 scsi_forget_host+0x43/0x50 [scsi_mod] Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] f8cea8b1 scsi_remove_host+0x51/0xe7 [scsi_mod] f9062c4e storage_disconnect+0xe/0x20 [usb_storage] Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] f88c7412 usb_unbind_interface+0x32/0x70 [usbcore] c022a98b __device_release_driver+0x5b/0xa0 Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] c022ac3b device_release_driver+0x1b/0x30 c022a1c7 bus_remove_device+0x77/0x90 Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] c0229255 device_del+0x35/0x70 f88c5766 usb_disable_device+0x86/0xe0 [usbcore] Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] f88c1836 usb_disconnect+0x96/0xe0 [usbcore] f88c27e9 hub_thread+0x259/0xc20 [usbcore] Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] c02c5579 schedule+0x2a9/0x5d0 c012a640 autoremove_wake_function+0x0/0x50 Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] c012a2d7 kthread+0xa7/0xe0 f88c2590 hub_thread+0x0/0xc20 [usbcore] Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] c012a230 kthread+0x0/0xe0 c0101005 kernel_thread_helper+0x5/0x10 Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] Code: 89 6c 24 10 31 ed 89 d9 89 74 24 08 89 7c 24 0c 89 04 24 8b 40 44 8b 38 89 e8 f2 ae f7 d1 49 8b 04 24 89 ca 89 d9 8b 78 08 89 e8 f2 ae f7 d1 49 8d 44 0a 02 ba d0 00 00 00 e8 e6 9d f2 ff ba f4 Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Fri Dec 1 12:33:13 2006 ... plusultra kernel: [17256292.492000] EIP: [make_class_name+55/176] make_class_name+0x37/0xb0 SS:ESP 0068:dfe87e50 ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Oops in scsi_mod and usbstorage https://launchpad.net/bugs/74036 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
