[Bug 1314279] [NEW] No videos after upgrade to trusty tahr
Public bug reported: after upgrading to 14.04 LTS miro did not play videos, just sound and a black screen. Installing gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg from ppa:mc3man/trusty-media made it work again (for me). [Bug 1099111] [NEW] Not possible to choose scan resolution with HP Photosmart C6300
Public bug reported: Hi, not sure whether this bug really belongs to libsane. But it occurs in different applications like gscan2pdf, xsane, gimp plugin, therefore I guess that the bug lives somewhere in libsane / sane-backends The bug emerged with 12.10 (after upgrading from 12.04 LTS). When I try to select the scan resolution in one of the mentioned sane based GUIs, the dropdown menu for the scan resolution is empty and I can only scan with the default 75dpi resolution. (In my 12.04 LTS setup I can choose between different resolutions: 75dpi, 100dpi, 200dpi, ...). [Bug 661327] Re: User interface stutters / laggy when mouse NOT moving

[Bug 181258] Re: problem about diskless booting
The /scripts/functions patch from Dean Montgomery (#15) saved my day. Thanks! When I deployed a ubuntu/lucid netboot environment in a multi-media room for a workshop that bug affected me. The e1000e driver module did non complete its dhcp setup (link becomes ready giving up) and after 60s I got a kernel panic. I replaced /scripts/functions in the initrd image and it worked like a charm. The various bug reports in this thread may be caused by different flaws. The presented /scripts/function patch makes the boot procedure more robust in either way. Therefore I'd suggest to include that patch irrespective of this bug report. -- problem about diskless booting https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/181258 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 661327] Re: User interface stutters / laggy when mouse NOT moving
Obviously we are dealing with (at least two) different bugs here that cause similiar effects. The bug that can be expelled with module-udev-detect tsched=0 probably belongs to pulseaudio rather than to xorg (BTW: Any hints what's going on here, why does that workaround fix the problem?) While this was the most annoying bug for me, I sometimes still notice that the display freezes for some seconds when I try to move the pointer. -- User interface stutters / laggy when mouse NOT moving https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661327 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'm using a Fritz USB Wlan device with ndiswrapper (which I recompiled for the 2.6.20 kernel). When starting the feisty 2.6.20 kernel, the knetworkmanager applet does recognize the SSID (so I guess that the low level hardware driver works fine) and tries to connect (rotating gear), but fails after about 30s. I can supply the daemon.log for both succeeding (kernel 2.6.17) and failing (kernel 2.6.20) connection attempts if that helps. -- [feisty] Network Manager peculiar issue - No network connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103584 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 105822] special chars mangled after switch to graphical console
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: console-setup Special chararcters in the virtual text console display fine (after dpkg-reconfigure console-setup).
