empty and the admin passwords match. If you decide not to retry the

Thanks for the info! Although when i checked for that, i found the kernel already in proposed. And so i can say too, the kernel version 2.6.31-18-generic on i686 does allow the use of the webcam und usb- devices, finally.. I seem to have a similar setup to 'mjhorsnell' (Ubuntu Studio Jaunty). When I execute $ sudo dpkg-reconfigure udev /sbin/udevadm will be deleted. After doing $ sudo aptitude reinstall udev it shows up again.
