[Bug 1455354] [NEW] Channel names when creating an emulator are wrong

2015-05-15 Thread Tommy Brunn
Public bug reported:

I'm using Qt Creator 3.1.1 in Ubuntu 15.04. When I create an emulator
from within the SDK, the `devel` channel is selected by default. If I
accept that and try to create the emulator, the process fails because
the channel name is invalid ("Couldn't be found on..."). In order to
create the emulator, I had to track down the wiki page with the channel
names and add a custom channel named `ubuntu-touch/devel`. I didn't try
the other options in the selector, but I would assume that the same goes
for all of them as well.

[Bug 1448466] [NEW] Installer exits because of IO error

2015-04-25 Thread Tommy Brunn
Public bug reported:

I'm installing Ubuntu Gnome 15.04 using a live DVD. I have attemped to
install it using two different usb sticks as well, with similar results.
I have also re-downloaded the ISO, in case it was damaged somehow.

The installer gets to roughly the part where it starts to actually
install the OS (after asking for username, password, etc.), then the
popup appears, saying that there's an IO error.

[Bug 1376502] Re: Header not correctly displayed under certain conditions.

2015-01-10 Thread Tommy Brunn
I have this exact same bug happen in my app: https://github.com/Nevon
/Ubuntu-Dota-2-Match-Ticker

Steps to reproduce:
1. Scroll down in the match ListView until the header disappears
2. Tap on a match in the list
3. Now the header on the new page is missing

If you open a different app and then go back to the first app, the
header is drawn again.

I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like when the header is
missing. This is what it looks like after switching to another app and
back again: http://i.imgur.com/9c2bZ7d.png

[Bug 1407101] [NEW] Section click highlight overflows

2015-01-02 Thread Tommy Brunn
Public bug reported:

When running the app on the desktop (not in an emulator), the highlight
from clicking on one of the page head sections appears to overflow (see
the attached screenshot). I don't have access to a real device or a
functioning emulator, so I can't verify if it happens there as well.

You can't see the cursor in the screenshot, but I'm holding down the
mouse button while hovering over the section called "Live". I have not
modified any properties of the page head section, other than setting
model to ["All", "Live", "Upcoming"].

[Bug 1405787] [NEW] Emulator doesn't start in 14.10 in VMWare

2014-12-26 Thread Tommy Brunn
Public bug reported:

I'm running Ubuntu 14.10 in a VMWare Fusion VM on an OSX host. When I
try to run the emulator via `ubuntu-emulator run `, the emulator
window is opened with the screen black as it's being set up. After a few
minutes, no more progress is being shown in the terminal, and the screen
remains black.

My installed version of ubuntu-emulator is 0.4+15.04.20141125-0ubuntu1.
I'm creating the emulator using the default options. The only flags I
pass when running is `--scale=0.7` and `--memory=1024`. As far as I can
tell, the guest should have 3d acceleration:

The output from creating and running the emulator is available here:

[Bug 1068694] [NEW] Quitting from launcher doesn't actually quit Skype

2012-10-19 Thread Tommy Brunn
Public bug reported:

If Skype is run in Unity and you right click on the launcher entry and
select "Quit", the window will close and the icon will disappear, but
Skype remains running in the background. You are still signed in and
will receive notifications like normal. I would expect that when you
press "Quit", you were signed out of Skype and the application quit.

This is in Ubuntu 12.04.1 with Skype 4.0.0.8-1 and Unity 5.16.0.

[Bug 758042] Re: Nautilus does not appear in the Dash search results when searching for "nautilus" "file"or "home"

2011-04-29 Thread Tommy Brunn
As a temporary workaround for anyone who has unpinned their home folder
from the launcher (like I had); open /usr/share/applications/ and then
drag nautilus-home.desktop to the launcher.

I'm not the current maintainer, but I am part of the upstream project
nonetheless, and I'm very confident that we're interested in having
Caffeine included in the Ubuntu repos.
