[Bug 1770966] [NEW] ubuntu 18 setup UEFI problem - ok for 17.10.1

2018-05-13 Thread Umar Ali Khan
Public bug reported:

I tried to install lubuntu 18.04 and setup crashed when
starting/installing grub loader.

Then I installed lubuntu 17.10.1 successfully whereas on Select partition
page/windows, it tells user
to not to use UEFI setup mode and go back and continue. When I continued, the
setup failed similarly as it failed for lubuntu 18.04. On next successful try,
I opted to disable UEFI mode and clicked Go Back, then continued setup which
ended successfully.

Provide similar option+dialog to disable UEFI mode in lubuntu 18.04
setup.

2018-02-18 Thread Umar Ali Khan
Yes! You are right. The user 'debian-sys-maint'@'localhost' was missing
from sys.user/users table and i inserted the user manually (with these
roles assigned : MaintanenceAdmin, ProcessAdmin, UserAdmin,
MonitorAdmin, DBDesigner, ReplicationAdmin, BackupAdmin, and custom role
- all global privileges granted except GRANT OPTION). Then afterwards,
the upgrade process went to completion smoothly.

You can change the status of this bug as Opinion or Won't Fix.

Thanks!
