[Bug 1770966] [NEW] ubuntu 18 setup UEFI problem - ok for 17.10.1
Public bug reported: I tried to install lubuntu 18.04 and setup crashed when starting/installing grub loader. Then I installed lubuntu 17.10.1 successfully whereas on Select partition page/windows, it tells user to not to use UEFI setup mode and go back and continue. When I continued, the setup failed similarly as it failed for lubuntu 18.04. On next successful try, I opted to disable UEFI mode and clicked Go Back, then continued setup which ended successfully. Provide similar option+dialog to disable UEFI mode in lubuntu 18.04 setup. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: crash grub setup uefi -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1770966 Title: ubuntu 18 setup UEFI problem - ok for 17.10.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1770966/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1746826] Re: could not upgrade mysql during lubuntu upgrade process from v 17.04 to 17.10 - Also data files are located on NTFS partition so that MySQL server on windows server installation can a
Yes! You are right. The user 'debian-sys-maint'@'localhost' was missing from sys.user/users table and i inserted the user manually (with these roles assigned : MaintanenceAdmin, ProcessAdmin, UserAdmin, MonitorAdmin, DBDesigner, ReplicationAdmin, BackupAdmin, and custom role - all global privileges granted except GRANT OPTION). Then afterwards, the upgrade process went to completion smoothly. You can change the status of this bug as Opinion or Won't Fix.
