[Bug 1016683] Re: universal access visual alert not working
Can confirm on my Ubuntu 13.04 x64 installation that none of the accessibility features except Orca work. Zoom/Visual alerts do not work. These features did work on Ubuntu Gnome 13.04 x64, so it seems to be somewhere linked to Unity. Please fix this bug as early as you can. Thanks in advance guys! Screen magnifier, visual alerts do not work on Ubuntu 13.04 x64 as well. Orca reader and On-Screen Keyboard do work. The same features work on Ubuntu Gnome 13.04 x64. This bug affects me as well and am using Faenza themes. Menu entries are not getting the highlight colour set by the theme and hence it is quite confusing to navigate the menus without being sure which entry is being currently chosen by the mouse pointer/keyboard-menu-navigation. The capable players do list themselves fine on the sound menu in ubuntu 13.04 and clicking on the entry opens up the respective player but sadly play/pause, previous and next controls don't work as they should.Worth mentioning however that the sound menu picks up the current play status i.e, if media is being played, then Play changes to Pause vice-versa. Am sorry but am still new to Linux..so the method that was suggested to backtrace the actual problem seemed too complex with all the CLI statements that I was hoping for a easier GUI assisted method to trace the error...Plz forgive my ignorance... I reinstalled the whole OS now Rhythmbox works fine..guess some of the plugins(3rd party from gnome-live website) messed up with the app... Regards Vishnu!
