[Bug 963106] Re: NetworkManager causes orphaned inodes

2013-01-25 Thread djbmister
umount-fix.patch:

Best if it is
cat /var/run/sendsigs.omit.d/network-manager.dhclient-*

As if you have multiple ETH, this will not kill it.

[Bug 582809] Re: Synaptics Clickpad touchpad buttons are not working

2011-07-23 Thread djbmister
I added a 32bit fixed deb, login into launchpad, then click -
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/582809/+attachment/2223838/+files
/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics_1.3.99%2Bgit20110116.0e27ce3a-
0ubuntu12.1_i386.deb

Restart xorg session, issue fixed.

So, I want a 32 bit version.

[Bug 582809] Re: Synaptics Clickpad touchpad buttons are not working

2011-07-21 Thread djbmister
Canonical please make this a priority. Patches are available to fix this
issue. Being a HP owner, using Ubuntu is near impossible without an
external mouse.

I've attached a fix xserver-xorg-synaptics deb for natty.

[Bug 571459] Re: [lucid] No splash screen at boot up, just flashing cursor

2010-05-01 Thread djbmister
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 540801 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/540801

It sounds like you have the same problem on my Asus eee pc 1001ha. After
an upgrade from Karmic i had this issue.

Do the following in a terminal

sudo -s
touch /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/splash
echo FRAMEBUFFER=y /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/splash
update-initramfs -u
reboot

This forces the framebuffer to load as soon as possible.

[Bug 541620] Re: Ralink RT3090 Wireless Not Supported in Lucid

2010-05-01 Thread djbmister
Comment 22 is the solution, but there is also more that is causing the
problem.

In the new kernel there is an early version of rt3090sta.ko in
/lib/modules/2.6.32.21-generic/drivers/staging/rt3090
2.1.0 i believe. You need to remove this first before updating.

Using Ralink driver, the Wifi kill switch no longer works, which is a
bummer.

Hope this helps

[Bug 253085] [NEW] 2.6.24-19 and ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-19 requires the following patches for HVR-1110 to function correctly

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic

Please see attached, patches that need adding to the current 2.6.24-19

these patches to function correctly - pci ids, eeprom and saa7134-alsa
no sound fix.

[Bug 238275] Re: mythbuntu-lirc-generator has problems with playpause buttons

2008-06-08 Thread djbmister
goto /usr/share/pycentral/mythbuntu-lirc-generator/site-
packages/MythbuntuLircGenerator

and edit as root

the mythtvhandler.py

Add the following below

play/pause :P, \

then edit the core.py

play/pause:^playpause, \

save both, then re run the lirc-generator! - you might need to add these
custom keys to the rest of the py scripts

This forces the playpause to use only one button as a config.

If it still doesnt work, remove either play or pause in the core.py

2008-05-12 Thread djbmister
Do all the keys function correctly on the remote?

Obviously my patch doesnt fix your issue. But it does fix the double enter
issue.
They are aware of the double escape issue

http://cvs.mythtv.org/trac/changeset/17278

quote

I have used

patch -p0 core.py.patch
patch -p0 mythtvhandler.py.patch

This is working. After I have appllied the patches, I have regenerated a
.lircrc file with the MCC.
