[Bug 549126] Re: mousetrap dont work

2012-10-05 Thread dstaubsauger
The same bug (or a very similar one) is still present in mousetrap on an
up-to-date Ubuntu Precise.

When starting mousetrap from the shell the following error message
appears over and over:

---

ImportError: could not import gobject (error was: ImportError('When using
gi.repository you must not import static modules like gobject. Please change
all occurrences of import gobject to from gi.repository import GObject.',))

---

The mousetrap process spawns instances of python, which cause a 100%
load on one CPU.

[Bug 682788] Re: Global menu is not ergonomical on large screens

2012-03-18 Thread dstaubsauger
To me and all the others commenting here: I think they don't even read
this any more. Did you for example notice those status changes between
#159 and #160? They're simply following some design agenda and started
tracking that agenda's progress in this launchpad entry at some point.

[Bug 682788] Re: Global menu is not ergonomical on large screens

2012-02-25 Thread dstaubsauger
fix commited is not the appropriate status when you have a feature
request for one feature and implement a different one. I'd still like to
see an option for having global menu for maximzed windows and a normal
menu (not lim where i have to click an extra button to open the menu)
for the non-maximized windows.

Tell me if i can provide more logs or something, i'm not an expert on wifi

[Bug 569733] Re: PC freezes when accessing a folder to which files are uploaded via sshfs

2010-04-27 Thread dstaubsauger
** Description changed:

  Hi,
  the situation is as follows:

  - Lucid Desktop RC as Server
  - Karmic Desktop as Client
  - connected via WLAN

I tried to upload some videos to the Lucid box. During the upload, i accessed
the folder to which i upload with nautilus (on the lucid box directly). This
caused the lucid box to freeze. It does not respond to pings anymore. Aborting
the upload on the karmic box manually works fine. I couldnt shut down the lucid
computer using the power button, needet to pull the cable.
I dont know whether this is a bug in nautilus, gvfs, the openssh server or
whatever.
+
+ Edit: the bug also occurs at random times when transferring data over
+ ssh and also when i use the karmic machine as the server and the lucid
+ box as a client. the karmic keeps running normally.
+
+ reading some other bug reports, this might be a problem with the lucid
+ box's prism pci wlan chip.
