[Bug 1873523] Re: virtualbox guest additions wont install
Was unable to use apport as described above, but was able to use ubuntu-bug, but it seemed to upload the data to a "new" bug on launchpad. I put this number 1873523 in the new bug description Note: when virtualbox-guest-additions fails, it is not a crash apport collect 1873523 returns apport: command not found With systemctl status apport.service i've confirmed that apport is active (exited) tasks(0) The error when attempting virtualbox-guest-additions came in a pop up window which would seemingly allow selection of text, but copy and paste didn't work. I was able to recreate the error and have saved a png image of the message. [Bug 910474] [NEW] Filenames with comma and spaces are not handled correctly with default mail program Thunderbird
Public bug reported: This is may be an upstream bug, I don't know it yet. Environment: I have Thunderbird 8.0 installed as the default mail program. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a file with a comma (,) and a space in its filename. 2. Right click on it and call "Send to ...". 3. Chose "Mail" I expect Thunderbird to be opened and the file to be attached on the new mail. It does not happen, since Thunderbird does not find a file with the prefix before the comma. For example, if you have the file "Great, this works.jpg", Thunderbird tries to access the file "Great". I think it's the connetion between Nautilus and Thunderbird, so I filed this bug in the nautilus-sendto package. I hope, this is correct. Thunderbird standalone does not have problems with this file and if I use sendto with Brasero, it works, too. I hope, I gave you enough information for this small bug. If you need more information, just let me know. [Bug 793055] [NEW] Umlauts missing in several Gnome Applications
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-shell I installed gnome-shell and gnome-themes-standard via the gnome3 ppa [1] and it's fantastic, really good! There's only one problem, I face with gnome-shell on amd64 and i386. There are no umlauts in several gnome applications, e.g. gnome-terminal and all dialoges of update-manager and gedit. In the terminal, a "ß" is replaced by "ss" and all other German umlauts are replaced by "?". If I want to update my Ubuntu, the update-manager shows me the button "Pr?fen" (German word for "Check"). In Firefox, Eclipse and Empathy, all umlauts are working. I tried updating the language settings, but all are correctly installed. Here are the technical information: Description:Ubuntu 11.04 Release:11.04 gnome-shell: Installiert: 3.0.2-0ubuntu1~build1 Kandidat:3.0.2-0ubuntu1~build1 Versionstabelle: *** 3.0.2-0ubuntu1~build1 0 500 http://ppa.launchpad.net/gnome3-team/gnome3/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status I thought this is just a small error, but as it occurs on amd64 and i386, I think it's severe.
