[Bug 1155571] Re: Workbench not showing tables or query results in raring

2013-06-03 Thread Bruno Iks
ssd is great upgrade :)

anyways mysql_upgrade outputs :
home@e6520:~$ mysql_upgrade -u root -p
Enter password:
Looking for 'mysql' as: mysql
Looking for 'mysqlcheck' as: mysqlcheck
This installation of MySQL is already upgraded to 5.5.31, use --force if you
still need to run mysql_upgrade

i tryed to install mysql-workbench from website instead of apt-get, version
5.2.47 and i had to manually install libctemplate0.
apt-get version uses libctemplate2 as far as i can notice.

with website version and libctemplate0 instead of libctemplate2 i could
see schemas, but still could not get output for any query

errors that i get are:

(mysql-workbench-bin:14621): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: attempting to add

[Bug 231550] [NEW] Dependance on libqt4-sql-sqlite not specified

2008-05-18 Thread iKs
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mumble

The 1.1.3 package of Mumble available in the 8.04 repository doesn't
specify that it depends on libqt4-sql-sqlite which prevents Mumble from
starting correctly : Mumble outputs something like Impossible to create
a database in any of the locations tried and that's it.

Installing the libqt4-sql-sqlite solves it all.

[Bug 231549] [NEW] Upgrade Mumble to 1.1.4

2008-05-18 Thread iKs
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mumble

Since 1.1.3 on Ubuntu 8.04 makes Mumble not work correctly after a few
second (no more audio output and a CPU usage above 50%), and since 1.1.4
corrects that bug and improves other parts as well, it would be
interesting to upgrade the version of Mumble available in the
repositories (would that be possible for 8.04.1 ? I don't think so but
you never know..).

Thanks in advance.

PS: If you want me to open another bug report for the CPU usage + no
audio output on 1.1.3, please tell me.

[Bug 200384] Re: No sound after updating via update manager

2008-03-09 Thread iKs
I get the exact same bug and this is the output of uname -a :
$ uname -a
Linux xlaptop 2.6.24-12-generic #1 SMP Sat Mar 8 01:30:36 UTC 2008 x86_64
GNU/Linux

I also noticed first that all applications using Gstreamer were freezing
and not responding anymore (totem, rhythmbox, etc.). After restarting
the computer, these worked but I had no sound at all and those error
messages apopovas gave.

If you need any other information please feel free to ask.

[Bug 200384] Re: No sound after updating via update manager

By the way, `sudo alsa reload` gives :
$ sudo alsa reload
Unloading ALSA sound driver modules: (none loaded).
Loading ALSA sound driver modules: (none to reload).

And System Preferences Sound Default Mixer Tracks Device
lists no sound device. I'm editing the description accordingly to No

I can confirm this bug.

It doesn't happen if the system is booted on the 2.6.24-11 version
kernel : should we specify linux-2.6.24-12 as the package having the bug
?

I'm using the Area 51 m9750 from Alienware and a 82801G (ICH7 Family)

 I removed amarok:

 sudo apt-get remove amarok.

It offered to remove kubuntu-desktop for me. I told it 'uh, ok' and boom,
 all gone.
Its not even listed under 'atuomatically installed'. It says
The following packages will be REMOVED: and lists kubuntu-desktop under
there! This is after already deleting the extended_states file as mentioned
 here.

Thank goodness that this time I had ubuntu desktop installed as a
 backup...

kubuntu-desktop is a meta-package anyway so removing it wont affect your
system at all.

But its still a problem that apt-get doesnt know how to handle
dependencies correctly. As a temporary solution, I would tell you to use
aptitude, which works perfectly on my system (ubuntu-desktop) and which
is supposed to be the new generation apt tool :)

[Bug 83002] ubuntu-desktop doesnt depend on xserver-xorg-input-all anymore

2007-02-03 Thread iKs
Public bug reported:

Package : xserver-xorg-input-all (there's no place for that in LP)
Distrib : Ubuntu 7.04 Fesity Fawn up-to-date

Bug : X.org doesnt boot after removing xserver-xorg-input-all

Comments : A recent update in Feisty made xserver-xorg-input-all not a
dependency of ubuntu-desktop.
I'm using debfoster so I removed it just to see and when I rebooted, X.org
did not boot (it said it couldn't find mouse and kbd devices).
I reinstalled xserver-xorg-input-all (wich depend on xserver-xorg-input-mouse
and xserver-xorg-input-keyboard) and it worked fine.

So I think we simply need to make xserver-xorg-input-all a dependence of

Salut,

A plus.

KVTT

From French into English.

Hi,

I did a clean install [of Feisty] and then an apt-get dist-upgrade.

What I noticed was :

- the 2.6.20-2 kernel's entry is not written automaticly, doing an
update-grub resolves this problem

But when I reboot, using the 2.6.20 kernel or the 2.6.19 one, I have a
kernel panic message.

Maybe the problem doesnt come form the kernel itself but from the
prephase of loading (initramfs) ?

Anyway I update my computer regularly waiting for a solution.

See you.

KVVT.

your messages ;)

[Bug 76174] Network Admin crashes when trying to edit the Wireless Network's Properties

2006-12-17 Thread iKs
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-system-tools

Distribution :
Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn (installed with the nightly build from 12/11/2006 and
updated since then)

Package :
gnome-system-tools 2.17.3-0ubuntu2

Software :
network-admin (aka Network in Administration)

Action :
When I try to edit the Wireless Network's properties, network-admin simply
crashes and the console shows a core dump message. Editing other networks
(Wired and Modem) works just fine.
If I try to edit other networks and then the wireless one, it doesnt always
crash or it crashes 30 seconds after having displayed the Properties Window
(otherwise it crashes right when I press Properties

If you need any other info (like a trace, dont know what it is yet ^^)
please do not hesitate to contact me ;)

** Affects: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: Unconfirmed

[Bug 68020] Re: Azureus 2.5.0.0 crashes

2006-12-13 Thread iKs
Still not fixed here.
I just installed Azureus and it keeps crashing with the Sun Jre (even if it
does work with GCJ).

Will this bug be fixed soon cause it's a little bit confusing for a new
user not to be able to lauch his favorite Bittorent manager ;)

(I'm using Azureus 2.5.0.0-0ubuntu2 @ Feisty)

[Bug 75067] Yelp closes after 3 seconds

2006-12-08 Thread iKs
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: yelp

Hello,

1) I'm French
2) I'm new to bug-reporting

Now let's get to the bug itself.

Using Fesity Fawn updated, when I try to open System Documentation
(aka yelp), it does open and show the page I want to see but after few
seconds it closes.

I tried executing yelp in a console and this is what I got :
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ yelp

** (yelp:22315): CRITICAL **: AT_SPI_REGISTRY was not started at session
startup.

** (yelp:22315): WARNING **: IOR not set.

** ERROR **: Could not locate registry
aborting...
Aborted (core dumped)

Please do not hesitate to ask for more details as I'll be happy to give
them :)

iKs.

PS: Remember it's the first time I report a bug, so it may be in the
wrong part of Launchpad, or simply not complete enough :s

[Bug 75068] Re: The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required

2006-12-08 Thread iKs
Do you have kubuntu-desktop installed ?
Try sudo aptitude isntall kubuntu-desktop. Cause even if I'm using
ubuntu-desktop this looks like dependances to a KDE package that you
uninstalled somehow...
