[Bug 1688018] Re: DNS server from vpn connection is not being used after network-manager upgrade to 1.2.6
I'm experiencing this issue on Ubuntu 18.04.1. In case this helps anyone, I've been able to fix following https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/OpenVPN#Update_systemd- resolved_script. Only after that change the OpenVPN supplied DNS servers appear on `systemd-resolve --status`. In case that matters, I run `openvpn` from command line -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1688018 Title: DNS server from vpn connection is not being used after network-manager upgrade to 1.2.6 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1688018/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 827861] Re: auto-install/enable does not work properly
Didn't remember this issue. Actually I'm now using full parameter as auto-install/enable=true, and it has been working for a long time now. [Bug 820306] Re: debconf item apt-setup/security_path not fully honoured
Please apologize for misreading the comment. Once enabled the proposed component boot parameter, with the old the security updates were searched on the right place. I need to manually select a kernel package, but I guess that is unrelated to this bug, which I consider closed (at least for lucid release which I reported and verified now). [Bug 820306] Re: debconf item apt-setup/security_path not fully honoured
What I have done is to download initrd.gz and linux from wget http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/lucid-proposed/main/installer-amd64/current/images/netboot/ubuntu-installer/amd64 Installing with the new images partially solved the issue. The first access to the security mirror uses the right url /mirror/ubuntu-security/dists/lucid-security/Release But later, after configuring the installed base packages, and at the same time that the installer shows the text Updating the list of available packages, the bad url is attempted again /ubuntu/dists/lucid-security/Release.gpg The installer syslog is attached, and the lines at the top of the sources.list file on the resulting system are verbatim pasted below, where commented lines show the rigt url for standard packages, and the bad one for security # deb http://192.168.40.138/repomirror/ubuntu lucid main restricted # deb http://192.168.40.138/repomirror/ubuntu lucid-updates main restricted # deb http://192.168.40.2/ubuntu lucid-security main restricted # See http://help.ubuntu.com/community/UpgradeNotes for how to upgrade to # newer versions of the distribution. ** Attachment added: Syslog output for installer coming from luci-proposed https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/base-installer/+bug/820306/+attachment/2291408/+files/syslog.gz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/820306 Title: debconf item apt-setup/security_path not fully honoured To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/base-installer/+bug/820306/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 820306] [NEW] debconf item apt-setup/security_path not fully honoured
Public bug reported: I do a 10.04 netinstall whith a preseed file, using local mirrors for the repositories. Security repository is defined with d-i apt-setup/security_host string 192.168.40.2 d-i apt-setup/security_path string /mirror/ubuntu-security And the logs from the apache serving the mirror shows some attempts for http://192.168.40.2/ubuntu. [Bug 255117] [NEW] Domain name not well guessed
Public bug reported: I've installed a new ubuntu 8.04 desktop, from alternate CD in a W2K environment. The only issue found during install was that I need to retry DHCP to get addresses. [Bug 231727] Re: installer clean existing /boot partition
You're right, its 8.04. As every distribution uses it's own tags for kernels, is quite difficult to get conflicts with kernel/initrd, and with grub the last one prevails. If the erasing is intentional, I think it should not delete lost+found, and it should be warned somewhere. Not only you will loose any chance to boot other distros, but in my case I did lose some data, as I use the boot partition to share home directory of the user I want to share among distros. I'm quite sure that I did install previous ubuntu versions on systems with other linux distributions installed, and it didn't erase anything, and made a very good job detecting them and even adding them to grub menu. -- installer clean existing /boot partition https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231727 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 229252] [NEW] slapd gssapi failure
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: slapd I'm setting up a ldap server allowing gssapi (kerberos) authentication, and it looks like the slapd daemon does not work properly. I've tried with both sasl-gssapi flavours (MIT heimdal), and both fail when the slapd is running on the ubuntu (hardy) box, but works properly when the slapd is on a debian (etch) box. The behaviour (described below) is the same when I supply the proper KRB5_KTNAME on /etc/default/slapd and when no keytab is supplied there, so it looks like the environment variable is not honoured. When using the Heimdal-GSSAPI library, I get ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: Invalid credentials (49) MIT-GSSAPI library gives ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: Other (e.g., implementation specific) error (80) and on the credential cache I see two ticket for a ldap principal one with the realm and another one that looks like realm-less.
