[Bug 789123] Re: Eclipse crashes/quits without any error messages
Mellon, I found this Thread by searching the Web for a bad error message: # Problematic frame: # C [libswt-pi-gtk-3735.so+0x3cf5e] Java_org_eclipse_swt_internal_gtk_OS_GTK_1ACCEL_1LABEL_1GET_1ACCEL_1STRING+0x0 My Eclipse crashed, too, which led to a loss of a real good bunch of heavily edited classes before I could merge it with my Git Account. Headshot. Well, but I would like to submit Logs which I got from the Termination of Eclipse. Eclipse crashes on my Computer from time to time (perhaps twice a day or at one time in a whole week ). The last time Eclipse crashed, when I tried to edit the Sorting of the Eclipse Task List (TODO Stuff). The whole IDE just vanished but left two Logs. Another crash happened some time ago, when I accessed the Code Completion Window to see what Methods were available for some Object. I have no idea who or which section of Launchpad is able to undergo an investigation in this case, but I would really appreciate it, if my classes won't just go... =) Best regards, Semo ** Attachment added: Crashlogs https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/overlay-scrollbar/+bug/789123/+attachment/2317724/+files/hs_err_pid9833.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/789123 Title: Eclipse crashes/quits without any error messages To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/overlay-scrollbar/+bug/789123/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 654826] Re: Python 2.7 missing in debian_defaults
Hello Hantho and others I just had the same 'exception(?)' when taking the command 'sudo apt-get upgrade'. I'd suppose this is no bug, due it lead not into an error while the upgrade process ran, but it's IMHO a lack, missing feature, whatever. As Dag Odenhall posted in the opening entry, he added the content of '/usr/share/python/debian_defaults'. It seems, that someone can avoid the issue, by replacing the line with the stuff from here: # all supported python versions supported-versions = python2.5, python2.6, python3.0 (or whatever Version) -- DON'T: So if any of newbies read this post. Please don't set python3.0 as standard! When I tried this, it lead into a bunch of bad errors. It seems to me, that a lot of python programs, packages and installers still aren't made to run this version. # the default python version default-version = python3.0 --- But one thing is, that I also don't understand what 'nothing to fix in maverick ' means. Why isn't e.g. my freshly installed python2.7 not in the list of the supported versions from debian_defaults? Unfortunately, I still don't understand the dependencies of the mentioned file. Where can I get more info? [Bug 277344] Re: Intrepid CD Live Gnome desktop fails
Same symptoms, same workaround, but I must also add that the same machine ran Compiz quite nicely on Feisty and Hardy (enabled by default), so I do not believe the hardware is incompatible with Compiz. I suggest others here try booting from a Hardy desktop CD and see if it runs with 'desktop effects' turned on (GNOME menu Preferences Appearance Visual Effects). [Bug 189764] [NEW] running adept update manager fails. error msg available
Public bug reported: Hello Developers! I tried to run the Updates of the Adept in Kubuntu. But it fails. First it loads all new packages. After downloading all Ressources the Adept began to install all available packages, but it stopped. Then I cancelled the error and immediatly a window on the top left of the screen appeared and it told me, that there are Updates available for my 7.10 Version. I thought I already got the current version of KDE and Linux. So I did nothing and let it run. The Updater only completed the first step (forgot which one it was) and then it told me, that (what I remember) there is a problem with the Adept manager and the software suggested to solve the problem on its own. But it failed. I restarted the X-Server in the hope, that there was only a simple problem, but it would not let me to update my version of Kubuntu again. So I don't know what to do. I saved a crash report on my Desktop. If anybody is interested in that file, please don't hesitate and mail me. [Bug 108350] Re: PS/2 mouse/mice does not work
Do you have a reason to conclude that the Virtual PC problem is the same problem? I think that's premature. I have been having trouble determining what my motherboard type is (suggestions?) but I note that in System Administration Device Manager, almost everything seems to be from Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS). I wonder if Mr Best could tell us whether his configuration is similar? If so, this may be a duplicate of bug 108221, which does not seem to have received any attention thus far. I also note that I did not have any problems with my PS/2 keyboard in Feisty, which I had meant to include in the original report but forgot. Bug 108382 seems to be a duplicate of this bug, but the level of discourse in that report does not seem to be at all constructive... :) -- PS/2 mouse/mice does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108350 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 108350] PS/2 mouse/mice does not work
Public bug reported: My PS/2 mouse will not work under 7.04, though it worked perfectly under 6.10 with no configuration. Just a plain 2-button+wheel wired mouse. Ubuntu's running on the bare hardware (no VM). sudo cat /dev/input/mice and sudo cat /dev/psaux produces no output. (6.10 was using /dev/input/mice) Several reports on the forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=415872 (mine) http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=415462 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=415318 There are also many reported VirtualPC/USB mouse problems, but I wasn't sure if those were separate issues. Some people are saying this is a 'kernel bug' but I couldn't find anything else about that and I don't know where they got it from. Sorry I couldn't think of any more information to include; I'll do my best to answer if you can think of any questions. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Tags: feisty mouse ** Tags added: feisty mouse -- PS/2 mouse/mice does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108350 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Here you go. Linux ubuntu 2.6.20-15-generic #2 SMP Sun Apr 15 07:36:31 UTC 2007 i586 GNU/Linux This was captured while the system was running from the Desktop CD. I'll do the hard drive upgrade to 7.04 if you think it will make a difference. I haven't yet because not having a mouse makes things difficult... ** Attachment added: 'dmesg' output http://librarian.launchpad.net/7378028/dmesg.log -- PS/2 mouse/mice does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108350 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
