I forgot to add that with another ubuntu system (different hardware) but same os level I have no issue. After some months I have unfortunately to correct my last posts: the workaround I posted works at 90% but many times the card drops many packets. Moreover even when it works the performance are very poor: 2-3Mbps vs the real speed of 12-13Mbps. @Vincenzo maybe it's a workaround or maybe realtek module is for many devices and for just rtl7323be the installer should insert in modprobe dir just the options I wrote. The bus is still present in 12.04 (Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG ). Network manager doesn't seems to change its status, as well as my IP address still remains but OS doesn't ping. On Ubuntu 12.04 now USB camera (with XD card) is correctly recognised. The only errors I have found is a medium error on some blocks. I have run a badblocks but no errors is returned. The strange thing is that with all of my XD cards (three) I obtain medium error. XD cards are very old (12 years) so I cannot exclude a real medium error but, I say again, it's strange that badblocks returns no errors. Public bug reported: If you want to burn an iso it is simple to do it launching brasero from contextual menu opened doing right click of the mouse just on .iso file. The problem is that at the end of the burning processo it seems that you cannot open brasero anymore. The real fact is that with the above steps brasero parent process is init (number 1) and at the end of burning it hangs. Next time you try to launch brasero a process is already running so nothing is launched. The question seems related to the fact that the new home folder is different /home/marco instead of /home/marcop (which was in 8.04).
