[Bug 910065] Re: Unhide launcher is not possible when a menu is open
I do not agree with the fact that a user could unintentionally open the launcher. Although this *is* a problem with the launcher (for that I've changed the launcher revealing time from 0.15 to 0.4 seconds), this is however not a problem in this particular case, I'll explain. When a user has opened a menu, normally by mouse, he will also use the mouse to actually choose a menu item: so the mouse cursor is always in the neighbourhood of the menu area. But when he decides to switch program (and thus neading the launcher), he intentially moves the mouse to the left side. Public bug reported: When the window switcher is active, an icon which has multiple instances in it, automatically zooms out so the user can see and select the different windows; this is very good behaviour. But why restrict this to apps with multiple instances? What is expected is that also single instance apps zoom out automatically. [Bug 855048] Re: Nautilus progress window does not minimize to icon tray
and look at the progress in the unity launcher At first, I was under the impression that it was only a *visual* clue, the progress bar on the unity launcher icon. Public bug reported: When dash is actived, a double click on the top panel result in the active window underneith to go from maximized into non-maximized, just as if dash was not active. This is not correct, the color is relative to the level of charge of your battery. This is a question a semantics. [Bug 863844] [NEW] Icon in indicator-session does not indicate pending updates
Public bug reported: The text in indicator-session is correctly reflecting the status of updates. But a user can only see that status when clicking on the indicator, which, of course is not a natural thing because normally, there's no need for the user to do that. It would be better if the icon reflects the status by colouring it, say yellow. Then the attention is drawn to the icon and everything else follows. Colouring this icon is already done when requiring a reboot (the icon turns red), so technically and functionally there should be no problem. As a bonus, the indicator could send a notification, stating the existence of pending updates. ** Affects: indicator-session (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/863844 Title: Icon in indicator-session does not indicate pending updates To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-session/+bug/863844/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
