[Bug 1838249] Re: crash on startup
In Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS I can confirm this bug. Updating to Libreffice 24.2 does not solve it. Calling libreoffice with: SAL_DISABLE_CUPS=true libreoffice24.2 solves the crash. In fact, FoxitReader also crashes when printing. And the gnome-control-center crashes when setting printers. So the problem is not with Libreofficce. The error given is: dbus[508084]: arguments to dbus_message_iter_append_basic() were incorrect, assertion "_dbus_check_is_valid_utf8 (*string_p)" failed in file ../../../dbus/dbus-message.c line 2760. This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library. D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace Aborted (core dumped) All the crashes (libroffice and gnome-control-center) can be avoided by setting DBUS_FATAL_WARNINGS=0 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1838249 Title: crash on startup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/df-libreoffice/+bug/1838249/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1890491] [NEW] A pacemaker node fails monitor (probe) and stop /start operations on a resource because it returns "rc=189
Public bug reported: Cause: Pacemaker implicitly ordered all stops needed on a Pacemaker Remote node before the stop of the node's Pacemaker Remote connection, including stops that were implied by fencing of the node. Also, Pacemaker scheduled actions on Pacemaker Remote nodes with a failed connection so that the actions could be done once the connection is recovered, even if the connection wasn't being recovered (for example, if the node was shutting down when the failure occurred). Consequence: If a Pacemaker Remote node needed to be fenced while it was in the process of shutting down, once the fencing completed pacemaker scheduled probes on the node. The probes fail because the connection is not actually active. Due to the failed probe, a stop is scheduled which also fails, leading to fencing of the node again, and the situation repeats itself indefinitely. Fix: Pacemaker Remote connection stops are no longer ordered after implied stops, and actions are not scheduled on Pacemaker Remote nodes when the connection is failed and not being started again. Result: A Pacemaker Remote node that needs to be fenced while it is in the process of shutting down is fenced once, without repeating indefinitely. The fix seems to be fixed in pacemaker-1.1.21-1.el7 Related to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1704870 ** Affects: pacemaker (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1890491 Title: A pacemaker node fails monitor (probe) and stop /start operations on a resource because it returns "rc=189 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pacemaker/+bug/1890491/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1746340] Re: Samsung SSD corruption (fsck needed)
I have a Dell Inspiron 14 5000 Series-5480. The most strange thing is that I bought my laptop about 1 year ago and I've installed Ubuntu 18.04.1 with kernel 4.15.0-65-xxx (default installation) and everything worked as expected. However, the same problem happened with any other kernel version (including 4.17.0-041700-generic). Then, after having some problems with my system I've installed Ubuntu 18.04.4. The kernel version installed with the system was 5.3 and after observing the same problem with the disk I've tried to install 4.15.0-65 and the problem has not been solved (I don't remember exactly which kernel version I had in the first time (e.g. what was the xxx)). Finally, I've found that 4.17.0-041700-generic works and I don't know why. It didn't work with Ubuntu 18.04.1 and it works with 18.04.4. This is really strange and I need to use most recent kernel versions, because I need to use some features I've implemented for v5.5-rc1. [Bug 1746340] Re: Samsung SSD corruption (fsck needed)
Hello all! I'm experiencing the same problem with an adata SU800NS38. My SSD works fine with the 4.17.0-041700-generic kernel version but unfortunately this is the only kernel version it works perfectly. In addition to try other kernel versions such as 4.x, I also tried 5.0 - 5.5. The disk becomes read-only during use and I need to use fsck whenever I start the system. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1746340 Title: Samsung SSD corruption (fsck needed) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1746340/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1516451] Re: check_disk plugin broken after upgrade to 15.10
The reason why this alert pops out is related to running sosreport on this node. Nagios can not access it - which is good as this directory is only accessible by root: # ll /sys/kernel/debug/ | grep trac drwx-- 8 root root 0 Jul 9 09:06 tracing/ To validate/replicate this behaviour, please open three terminals. Terminal 1, run mount | grep -i tracing - no output here as this directory is generally not presented by mount Terminal 2: mkdir testing; cd testing while true;do mount | grep -i tracing > mounted-$(date +%s); done on terminal 1 please run cd testing watch ls -lt Terminal 3 sudo sosreport -a --all-logs Watch Terminal 1. On the beginning, you will see files created with 0 in size. When you start sosreport in another window/tmux this file gets populated - meaning munt can see it. Why does it become available? Sosreport gathers diagnostic information and initiates it. This directory is not visible from mount during normal operation. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1516451 Title: check_disk plugin broken after upgrade to 15.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nagios-plugins/+bug/1516451/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1638842] Re: network-manager does not manage ethernet and bluetooth interfaces when Ubuntu 16.10 is installed using chroot/netboot method
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1676547 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1676547 Ubuntu 17.10 here, final solution for me was #36. Not enough with a blank file in /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/10-globally- managed-devices.conf and not solved modifying directly on /usr/lib/. I had to cp the file from /usr/lib to /etc/ and modify "unmanaged-devices" to none there, as Silje said. [Bug 1711396] [NEW] regression: UI terribly slow or not usable in linux kernel 4.4.0-92
Public bug reported: Recently after running a bunch of upgrades, including the kernel, my system became terribly slow. At one time after a successful login, opening Chrome Browser, which is usually really fast to open, took more than 10 minutes to open. After that I tried to even login and the system never left from the login screen. I decided to hard-reset my computer and booted instead with the previous available Kernel version. (Version 4,4,0-91) and everything works fine. In summary: Linux Kernel 4.4.0-91-generic and everything before it works fine. Linux Kernel 4.4.0-92-generic makes my computer unusable. ** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1711396 Title: regression: UI terribly slow or not usable in linux kernel 4.4.0-92 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-meta/+bug/1711396/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1303167] Re: svn with kerberos-gssapi auth doesn't work
Here's a tiny patch that adds the flag for GSSAPI support in the debian/rules file. The unit tests failed on my machine but that seems to be unrelated.
