2010-08-13 Thread robbanl
I don't know if this can help someone else but it did remove the problem
for me. I had this problem on both my Samsung nc10 and my Lenovo laptop
running Ubuntu 10.04. All i did was enable Ubuntu-backports and Lucid
proposed, updated all packages and made a reboot. Now my problem is
gone, I don't know which of the updated packages did the trick but it
worked for me on both of my computers.

2010-05-12 Thread robbanl
Public bug reported:

I got a dual boot system with windows, when booting into Ubuntu
sometimes i get the message "Udevd-work[id] open /dev/null failed no

[Bug 569382] [NEW] Ubuntu one icons never change

2010-04-24 Thread robbanl
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

The icons in the Ubuntu one folder never change, no matter what the
status is.

To reproduce.

1. Create a new file or folder in the Ubuntu one folder.
2. The folder gets the icon for synchronizing. (I think, there is no help
available of what each icon means which is kind of confusing).
3. The folder or file gets synchronized and is available on the server but the
icon stays the same. (see picture)

[Bug 568907] [NEW] Disk management maximize problems

2010-04-23 Thread robbanl
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-disk-utility

On the netbook edition when opening the disk manager it maximizes like
it should. When choosing a hard drive the window becomes to big to fit
on screen and there is no scrolling option, so all the menus can't be
reached without minimizing the window and using alt+mouse. Then if i
click on a partition sometimes the window gets minimized in a weird way.
The window list object stays on the panel but the application gets
separated from it (see picture). When this happens it's impossible to
maximize the windows again.

[Bug 327362] Re: Some ISPs have .local domain which disables avahi-daemon

2009-10-22 Thread robbanl
This is still an issue for me with 9.10 Beta, i think it's very irritating to
have the same error message present itself on each boot without helping out
with a solution. These are the kind of problems that can never exist for the
normal user, they wouldn't have a clue of what to do.
.
I tried to use the solution with editing the avahi-daemon in /etc/default but
it isn't there in 9.10 beta, please deal with this bug before the release,
cause it's effecting a lot of people (in Sweden anyway).

[Bug 436654] Re: NetworkManager assert failure: ERROR:nm-device.c:2754:dispose: assertion failed: (s_ip4)

2009-10-19 Thread robbanl
I also have these crashes with network-manager and they've been around
since i installed the beta. I doesn't happen all the time but when it
happens it's always at log in and it never seems to effect anything.
