[Bug 1577110] Re: Lockscreen problems in Ubuntu 16.04

2017-08-03 Thread roemer2201
I have the same problem as well. I'm using two screens, but I think
running a virtual machine (virtual box for me) where the mouse cursor is
caught inside, might also be related to the problems.

When the monitor goes to sleep (after 10 minutes) and I come back to my
pc later, I press a key or move the mouse to wake it up. I see the
desktop, where I left it and as soon as I do the first click, the
lockscreen appears and instantly fades without asking for the password.
So my pc is not protected, if I do not manually lock it. On a bad day
the desktop session crashed completely and all unsaved work in gone and
running vm's are killed

[Bug 1328470] Re: [Intel D945GCLF2] Kernel panic with 3.13.0-27-generic

2014-06-12 Thread roemer2201
Today I installed the lastest kernel from the repositories:
3.13.0-29-generic. I rebooted and the system boots like it should. After
that I reinstalled the faulty 3.13.0-27-generic kernel. Now the system
boots up as well, but There was not much working: The network did not
come up, my keyboard was not working and the monitor was running on a
lower resolution. Other things could not be tested, because I had no
access to the system.

Is it ok to drop this issue, now that it seems to be fixed? Or should I
investigate further? If so, let me know how.

[Bug 1016895] Re: smbd crashed with SIGABRT in dump_core()/setgroups being passed a -1 group is causing crashes.

2013-05-29 Thread roemer2201
Just in case someone stumbles over this:
I just installed a fresh ubuntu 12.04.2 64bit server and I installed samba in
the ubuntu installer.
Unfortunately this seems to install a buggy version. After spending two hours
of search I just tried to remove samba and it told me, that it is not
installed... so I just installed it and now the bugfixed version seems to be
installed and is working.

I can confirm that it worked until the last update, because a downgrade
helped for my xymon installation on ubuntu 12.04:

checked the version with:

installed the old with:

[Bug 955965] Re: Alt - F10 does not maximize window - seems like a regression

2012-05-02 Thread roemer2201
I've upgraded today from a native 11.10 install to 12.04. I ran into
this issue, started searching and landed on this page here.

After reading the thread I wanted to try the workaround from comment #3.
So I installed ccsm. But now I'm really confused: The ubuntu unity
plugin is NOT enabled. So why is the keycombo linked to the menubar
anyway?

So I found launched the "system settings" menu, choosed "keyboard" ->
"shortcuts" -> "windows". There I saw that maximize/restore is mapped to
++/. Setting + in this menu
does not help, so I decided to live with new shortscuts, because they
seem logical. But I really do not like this.

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 876198 ***

@Sam_ (and-sam)

Try this:

Check Compiz Settings Manager:
Go to Animations -> Focus Animations -> Select the one Animation -> click
"edit" -> Set "Focus Effect" to "None"

Does this solve your problem?

[Bug 882039] [NEW] iPhone 4S will not sync

2011-10-26 Thread roemer2201
Public bug reported:

I got a new iPhone 4S with iOS5 on it. I connectet it to Natty (with
libimobiledevice2 1.1.0) and to Oneric (with libimobiledevice2 1.1.1).
On both Ubuntu-Boxes the device gets recognized as it should and the
phone shows up in Banshee and in Rhythmbox. I even could drag and drop
music on the device, but "synchronizing"is not shown on the iPhone and
so the msuic-App stays empty.

Did I do something wrong? On Natty I deleted ~/.config/libimobiledevice,
but that did not help. :-( Any suggestions?

** Affects: libimobiledevice (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 711678] Re: Double entry of event in the OWA, for an event created with Lightning

2011-07-20 Thread roemer2201
I can confirm this bug and would like to add this information:

I'm using an iPhone and iPod Touch which access the same calendar as
this TB-Addon does, but the duplicate entries I see in Outlook an WebOWA
are just a single entry in the iOS. Maybe the helps.

iOS-Version on both devices: 4.2.1 (8C148)
