[Bug 811745] Re: Whole system freeze after safely remove external usb drive

2011-08-08 Thread suniyo
Update manager automatically rollbacks to the older version of the
kernal as the patch is not an official repo.

What to do now? every time I update something using update manager
kernal rolls back to the official version and I have to manually
reinstall the patch again. This is real pain as I have thousands of
custom softwares installed and updates are too frequent, almost daily.

Is there anyway to prevent update manager to rollback this patch
automatically? It naturally prefers the version in the official repos
and I have to go through this painful exercise of applying patch almost
daily.

[Bug 811745] Re: Whole system freeze after safely remove external usb drive

2011-08-04 Thread suniyo
Problem solved after applying the patch. What about updates? If update
manager updates it automatically to the newer version of the kernel do I
need to degrade it again or to apply patch again?

Re: [Bug 510210] Re: Client shows connected Folder shows disconnected, files not syncing

2010-02-23 Thread suniyo
It is working correctly for me now, suddenly it started functioning and
files are also syncing with each other but taking lot of time to download
some file from the server, upload is though working fine. I think there are
some server side issues and file sync problems but I am bit happier now as
I'm at least able to connect it now.

automatically. This problem is with client and not the server I think,
and it doesn't work even after new computer account is added. Tried to
remove all of the accounts added automatically and it still is not
working.

It is not working for me even after applying all the settings that you
described. I think problem is there with the ubuntu one gnome client. I have
deleted mentioned files and now problem still persists with every restart
and my bug is I think not the duplicate of 455544.

Hope this is resolved soon, thanks for your reply.

[Bug 208139] Re: Recordmydesktop has exited with status 768

2009-12-20 Thread suniyo
Solution worked for me with certain settings but still it is not perfect
and quality is low with large file sizes. I have around 4 minute video
(1152x864) in .ogv format with filesize 45 mb that is too much. When I
convert it to .avi with -sameq applied to it in ffmpeg the resulting
.avi file is around 150mb !! When I reduce some quality and make it
320x240 size it still results in 6mb file. So this solution is still not
ideal or perfect for everyone including me.

[Bug 495150] Re: package flashplugin-installer 10.0.42.34ubuntu0.9.10.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2

2009-12-10 Thread suniyo
Can't even run Update Manager or Synaptic Package Manager. They throw me
out with the above mentioned error message. Now how can I even upgrade
or update if new release is available. It also hangs in terminal while
downloading the updates during the upgrade process.

[Bug 495150] Re: package flashplugin-installer 10.0.42.34ubuntu0.9.10.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2

2009-12-10 Thread suniyo
After the latest update configuration process never finished and crashed
while configuring new flash player. Now when I try to update it using
manager or try to uninstall flash player it doesn't let me do this with
the error message: E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo
dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. E: _cache->open() failed,
please report. When I try to run it manually using terminal it hangs for
hours and doesn't configure it.

[Bug 269215] Re: There is a problem with the configuration server. (/usr/lib/libgconf2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256)

2009-11-12 Thread suniyo
can not login. login screens throws me back to login with message: There
is a problem with configuration server. /usr/lib/libconf2-4/gconf-san
ity-check-2 exited with status 256. A graphical popup appears at the top
on login screen with the message: Install Problem. The configuration
details for GNOME power manager has not been installed correctly.

This happened when i changed file permission with command: s...@su-mc~:$
chmod 755 -R * to change file permissions. Terminal hung and I restarted
machine manually and since than unable to login.
