[Bug 1097570] Re: grub2-signed can not find the right device when there are two filesystems containing the file '.disk/info'.
Due to the age of this issue, and/or unsupported/outdated Ubuntu versions in question, I'm closing this issue. The only currently supported release mentioned here is 'Trusty Tahr' which is strictly in Extended Security Maintenance, this bug does not seem to identify any security issues. [Bug 1062623] Re: enable grub-2.00 boot-from-luks support
Encrypted /boot partitions isn't a currently supported configuration. Despite this signed UEFI GRUBs have the `luks` module built-in for backwards compatibility with some old setups, we have no plans to include `luks2` or support more modern encrypted /boot setups going forward. I probably can do, but as I said, I think that this configuration is more and more common thanks to USB-C (you can just connect one cable and have a desktop system). Hello, i have rebuild the debian sid package on ubuntu to see if this fixes the issue. https://packages.debian.org/source/sid/python-docker The binary from that package seems to work. Can this be ported to ubuntu 24.04 to make use of python and docker possible again? Hello Daniel, Thanks for your perspective. But i could not find where it's grounded. You said replacing the drive fixed the issue, but your act to change the drive to solve the problem, might be well meaning the software problem as well. My NVME have much free space. [Bug 2054799] Re: [SRU] Issue with Project administration at Cloud Admin level
Charmed OpenStack ends at jammy, sunbeam to be supported on noble forwards, and there's also currently not a sunbeam build for noble yet. So currently I am unable to use charm to build a noble test env for verifcation. I have to build a jammy-caracal test env instead of noble- caracal. Considering that the openstack version caracal(2024.1) is the base version of ubuntu version noble and this patch is only related to python, I think it should be feasible to verify 4:24.0.0-0ubuntu1.1 in jammy instead of noble. [Bug 2069039] Re: Disk password prompt isn't shown in external monitor
I have to disagree. I attach a picture of my workbench, where you can see that I have an external monitor as the main display, and the laptop is just behind because I don't use its screen. As you can see, I have to, literally, look over the monitor to be able to know when do I have to type the password and to know if I typed it right, because the external display won't turn on until after it has been typed. This kind of configuration is becoming more and more common thanks to USB-C: use the laptop in a "classic desktop mode" at home, just disabling the builtin screen, and keeping it only for the cases where the laptop is used outside home, so I'm sure that we will begin to receive more and more complains about this as more and more people migrate to 24.04. ** Attachment added: "My current setup, where I can't see in my screen the password prompt, having to bend over to be able to see the prompt." https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/2069039/+attachment/5789039/+files/PXL_20240613_084850900.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2069039 Title: Disk password prompt isn't shown in external monitor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/2069039/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
