[Bug 1106447] Re: Please upgrade acroread (Adobe Reader) to the latest upstream version (9.5.3)
acroread is available in my ppa I tried to do this, too, but unfortunately this seems to violate PPA's ToS: https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/216665 . So an official repo solution is highly desirable. Anyway I don't know how to build it on amd64 arch... That's easy. There is a patch in related duplicate bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acroread/+bug/998837 . A complete packaging example for 9.5.1 see: https://launchpad.net/~landronimirc/+archive/experimental/+sourcepub/2641632/+listing-archive-extra . But again this should really be fixed in the official repos. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1106447 Title: Please upgrade acroread (Adobe Reader) to the latest upstream version (9.5.3) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acroread/+bug/1106447/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1106447] Re: Please upgrade acroread (Adobe Reader) to the latest upstream version (9.5.3)
It seems that maintainer this package is orphaned. I tried to provide a PPA for the package but I deleted it upon request from Launchpad. I would gladly help someone with commit rights to update the package. If a developer reads this please let me know. (On a personal note, it is a big deal that such an important package as Acrobat Reader isn't really available in Ubuntu.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1106447 Title: Please upgrade acroread (Adobe Reader) to the latest upstream version (9.5.3) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acroread/+bug/1106447/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
