Re: [Bug 1112652] Re: [raring] no ethernet with auto default power option with 82579LM
Hi, thanks a lot. I will use solution 1 for the moment. It took me some time to find correlation with power supply, but now that I know it, I can plug in power supply when using cable ethernet. I try to be a good citizen and report my problems. I found it hard to report a regression in ubuntu system. I have a couple of other regression but gave up reporting them. For this bug, at a moment I was instructed to run some apport command (don't remember exactly which) to document things but I got rejected with a not your bug message. I have removed the tag regression-update from this bug report as the tag should be used for a regression which happened when installing a package from the -updates repository. This tag is used by the Stable Release Updates team to watch for regressions in packages from -updates and inappropriate usage of this tag makes it harder to find this category of regression. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
