[Bug 1217278] Re: Doesn't actually disable bluetooth
Thomas, or anyone else, did you try this with indicator-bluetooth 0.0.6+13.10.20131016-0ubuntu1 or later? This bug report will expire if no-one reproduces the bug. Be careful that System Settings is not a 100% reliable way of telling whether Bluetooth is actually on: see bug 1276267 for example. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1217278 Title: Doesn't actually disable bluetooth To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-bluetooth/+bug/1217278/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1217278] Re: Doesn't actually disable bluetooth
I'm using Saucy, and there is no longer any reasonable way to disable bluetoothd. I don't use Gnome or Unity, so I cannot use indicator- bluethooth. BUM (Boot-Up Manager) no longer works either. There are multiple references to editing /etc/rc.local, but this is a very hackish method. I understand that bluetooth has become extremely common, but I don't have any bluetooth technology on my computer. I realize that this is not bluetooth-indicator, but it may be the root cause of the issue: meaning someone changed something in bluetoothd, Upstart, or whatever starts the daemon that affects all projects that try to control the daemon. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1217278 Title: Doesn't actually disable bluetooth To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-bluetooth/+bug/1217278/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1217278] Re: Doesn't actually disable bluetooth
The same bug affects me. I try to disable bluetooth with indicator- bluetooth but doesn't actually disables it. The only way to do it is to turn it off by system settings menu.
