F.05 04/08/2011 giovanni@manta:~$ Symply I closed the lid while on battery power and wen I reopened the lid the computer restarted instead resuming (i tried again and again and did't happened, at least for now :) ) Probably I need a firmware update but I'm using my laptop since 2 years (the first ubuntu installed was 11.10) and this is the first time that a suspend/resume operation went wrong, so I suppose that the new kernel 3.11.0 triggered the bug you highlighted. However I will try to update my BIOS and try again to see if this happens again. If you update to this, does it change anything? If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.
