Eduard, You appear to be experiencing a different bug. I cannot reproduce this bug on Kubuntu Tribe 5. Can you please open a new bug report, run the installer again using the --debug option, and attach /var/log/installer/debug, /var/log/partman, and /var/log/syslog to the new report? I can confirm this with Gutsy Kubuntu Tribe 5 Trying to format /dev/sda7 hangs the installer at 5% (formatting /dev/sda7). Patrice, is there anything already installed on that drive? Specifically if it has a swap partition on it, the drive may be mounted to use that. Do you know if the drive is mounted from boot?
