  Binary package hint: ubiquity
+ I attach /var/log/install/debug
+ I have this bug under vmware server and it's reproductible
+ ubiquity 1.5.8 under desktop-i386 2007/08/17

- I attach /var/log/install/debug
+ Description of duplicate of this bug (133878) :
+ When installing Gutsy Gibbon, installation fails with message: The ext3 file
system creation in partition #1 of SCSI1 (0,0,0) (sda) failed.

- I have this bug under vmware server and it's reproductible
+ It seems that as the installer is autodetecting the drives, gnome-
+ volume-manager automatically mounts them, therefore preventing an ext3
+ partition to be made on the device.

- ubiquity 1.5.8 under desktop-i386 2007/08/17
+ The workaround I used was to go into System Monitor and manually kill
+ gnome-volume-manager.
+
+ After I did this, installation continued successfully.
+
+ Steps to reproduce:
+ 1) Make sure you have a SATA drive in your computer
+ 2) Run the Ubuntu Installer
+ 3) You should encounter the error
+
+ Version Information: Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 Tribe 4
