Please feel free to add any corrections. --- SUMMARY: Ubuntu version 18.04 synaptic 0.84.3ubuntu1 Problem is reproducible by the bug reporter. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open synaptic 2. Click on Reload button in top left. 3. Click "Mark All Upgrades" button. Actual behaviour: When marking a large number of packages for installation using the "mark all upgrades" process, the GUI freezes for minutes during the calculation of dependencies. Expected behaviour: Since the calculation of dependancies can take a long time, there should be a separate window with a cancel button that would allow the user to abort the "mark all upgrades" process. Additional notes: --- Bug triager is unable to reproduce the bug. Hello again Karl-Philipp, Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with cancelling search for dependencies in synaptic. You made this bug report some time ago and Ubuntu has been updated since then. Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket? If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to this bug? If you are, could you let us know, and in the current version, run the following (only once): apport-collect BUGNUMBER and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
