I should add that I upgraded using the 'Update manager' which downloaded the packages and installed them automatically. I did not upgrade from CD. I was running 7.10 and upgraded to 8.04. -Jeremy -- package gcc-3.3-base 1:3.3.6-15ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155127 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 155127] Re: package gcc-3.3-base 1:3.3.6-15ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade:
I ran into the same issue on my upgrade. I don't understand why this was closed just because it's not related to gcc-3.3 base. it's a bug in Ubuntu that needs to be fixed, and this is where -Ubuntu's- problem reporting system brings us to report the issue. It shouldn't matter if the bug is in package X or Y, it's obviously an issue somewhere... -Jeremy ** Also affects: release-upgrader-dpkg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- package gcc-3.3-base 1:3.3.6-15ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155127 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
