- librte-pmd-fm10k1 is not built on ppc64el (empty pkg atm) adapt arch
- librte-pmd-i40e is built on all architectures now
  * Fix up thunderx to make arm support useful on more devices (LP: #1691659)
- d/p/nicvf-00[01-10]* backports of 17.02/17.05 fixes for thunderx
- d/control: dependencies and package for librte-pmd-thunderx-nicvf
- d/librte-pmd-thunderx-nicvf1.symbols: tracking library symbols
  * fix dpdk-rte-kni dkms issues with kernel 4.11 (LP: #1691830)
- d/p/kni-fix-build-with-kernel-4.11.patch: fix pci_enable_msix usage
- d/p/kni-fix-ethtool-build-with-kernel-4.11.patch: Use new signal header
  * ensure man pages are bundled with executables on all architectures
  * d/p/fix-vhost-user-socket-permission.patch: updated to work with newer
openvswitch versions

  * Simplify debian/rules by using upstream's install target
and Debian's multiarch dir. Thanks Jan Blunck!
  * Clarify that only the kni and igb_uio kernel modules are
distributed exclusively under the GPL2 in debian/copyright
  * Add new DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS "nodocs" to allow users to avoid
building the DPDK documentation
  * Add new DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS "nostatic" to allow users to avoid
building the DPDK static libraries

I was asked that it is urgent now, so I synced in
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dpdk/16.11.1-2 from experimental to
fix this.

Once Debian stretch released we will move on and have the follow on
stable release in Debian unstable and auto-sync from there.

It's pretty normal for dkms modules to break when we switch to a new
upstream kernel version. We haven't put a 4.11-based kernel into the
artful release pocket yet (or even proposed for that matter), but we are
planning to do so soon.

This should essentially be down to:
Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 4.11.0-3-generic (x86_64)
Consult /var/lib/dkms/dpdk-rte-kni/16.11.1/build/make.log for more information

IIRC this is a known issue, I work on DPDK for Artful anyway so I'll include it 
there - that means this will stay open a bit until merging.
Since along that merge there is a lot more to test & verify that can take a few 
more days.
Please let me know if that is so urgent that we need an interim 
16.11.1-0ubuntu4 to fix it.
