- It is no longer possible to access the dashtodock parameter (nothing happens)

- There is a big bug and this time we can not even start the session

but something still fails:
- from extension.gnome.org, installing dash-to-dock ends with a red error flag; 
but the extension is displayed and works.
- Looks like the latest v61 has not replaced v60 (shown into 'about')

rectification: the problem is always present but only on the configuration of 
the 2nd page window (there are 2 windows identical).
(if i activate on the first window it does not crash)

I can reproduce the problem on your virtual machine, but it seems to be
due to an outdated version of dash-to-dock (not yet supporting 3.26).
After installing from git master the issue disappears for me.

did try from a clean VM?

Can't confirm here; mine just works as expected (wayland session)
Maybe you get a conflict with some other installed extension(s); try to isolate 
the faulty one by enabling each one by one.
Other suggestion: clean the system with gtkorphan & bleachbit (as root, but 
select the features carefully)
