Ah, I hadn't tried in a Wayland session. I can indeed reproduce the problem in 19.04 in a Wayland session, after trying to drag and drop the URL in different places into a nautilus window, I eventually get firefox to stop responding, probably because it didn't register a drop event. Hello, Like I had several problems with 19.04 (mainly the computer which didn't stop completly), I've already updated the system to 19.10 RC. And I have no more this bug : when I drag the adress on the desktop or a Nautilus window, nothing happens : the URL is not copied but the app doesn't freeze any more.
