[Bug 187899] Re: [KDE4] plasma crashed with SIGSEGV in QGraphicsItem::setPos()
Quite honestly, Plasma has gone through tons and tons of changes since KDE 4.0.0. Plasma is much more stable now in KDE 4.1.1, and even if this crash did occur in KDE 4.1.1, the backtrace would probably be different. Right now there's not much we can do with this bug report. We can't forward this bug report on to KDE since there has been so much change since 4.0.0, and since we don't know how to reproduce it we can't really get a recent backtrace, if the crash still even exists. What should have happened is that either a bug triager or alternately you would have forwarded the report on to bugs.kde.org while it was still fresh. Though we cannot put any blame on you since nobody told you that was necessary. The blame for letting this bug go stale lies fully with the bug team, which early this year was facing manpower issues... We do thank you for taking the time to report this bug, however, and are very sorry for allowing this bug report to go stale and cause you frustration. (And yes, this message was fully hand-crafted, no premade responses here. ) :-) We hope for your continued support in the future. ** Changed in: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- [KDE4] plasma crashed with SIGSEGV in QGraphicsItem::setPos() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187899 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Almost Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase-workspace in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 187899] Re: [KDE4] plasma crashed with SIGSEGV in QGraphicsItem::setPos()
There's a stacktrace with several references to lines in the sourcecode. There's also a duplicate of this bug. How can this be "Incomplete" and marked for expiration? -- [KDE4] plasma crashed with SIGSEGV in QGraphicsItem::setPos() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187899 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 187899] Re: [KDE4] plasma crashed with SIGSEGV in QGraphicsItem::setPos()
I'm in KDE 4.0.1 but it's kind of hard to reproduce since I have no idea when this crash happened. -- [KDE4] plasma crashed with SIGSEGV in QGraphicsItem::setPos() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187899 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 187899] Re: [KDE4] plasma crashed with SIGSEGV in QGraphicsItem::setPos()
KDE 4.0.1 starts sometimes now, and sometimes not. I'll test this the next time KDE doesn't hang at the splash-screen.
I can't test this with KDE 4.0.1 since KDE 4.0.1 (as opposed to KDE 4.0.0) doesn't even start - it hangs at the first icon in the splash- screen (the pulsating harddrive). -- [KDE4] plasma crashed with SIGSEGV in QGraphicsItem::setPos() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187899 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
