[Bug 188569] Re: getting upgrade prerequisites failed

2008-04-13 Thread Richard Birnie
I've just tried accessing http://es.archive.ubuntu.com in a browser and
it seems to be working. Is anyone still experiencing this problem or can
this report be closed?

[Bug 188569] Re: getting upgrade prerequisites failed

2008-03-18 Thread Hanno Stock (hefe_bia)
jjvader, thanks for your reply.

Could you please check the following:
Do you use a proxy or have a proxy enabled in Firefox or global system settings?

For Firefox you can find proxy settings in the advanced preferences under
networking / connection (Sorry, I don't know the spanish translation).
The global settings are in the system / settings / network proxy menu.

You could also try using a different server.
You can select the server from the software sources dialog (in the settings
menu in Synaptic)

You could also try wget
http://es.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/feisty-backports/Release.gpg; in a
terminal and see whether it can retrieve the file.
(Post the result here)

Thanks for helping making Ubuntu better.

[Bug 188569] Re: getting upgrade prerequisites failed

2008-02-04 Thread Michael Vogt
Thanks for your bugreport.

This looks like for some reason it was not possible to connect to
es.archive.ubuntu.com. Could you please try again and see if the error
is persistent? If it is, can you please see if you can access
http://es.archive.ubuntu.com with a regular webbrowser (e.g. firefox)?

Thanks,
 Michael
