I forgot to tell you that you can not change the status of a bug when it has been marked as a duplicate of another bug. When you really wanted to change the status (for example when it was wrong to mark it as a duplicate and you want to confirm a bug) edit the duplicate state of this bug by clicking on the button next to the number above the package and remove the number.
