[Bug 252559] Re: apt-get install and remove should be consistent (w.r.t. asking confirmation)
Thanks for reporting this issue. I confirm that apt-get remove does ask for confirmation. However, I think this behaviour is wanted here, as removing will potentially break a working system. For example, a web server administrator that wants to removes the unneeded apache2-docs on a system and mistakenly types 'apt-get remove apache2 docs'. With the confirmation in place, it is less likely that the service will be interrupted. I will set this bug to incomplete and see if there are more comments on the issue. ** Changed in: apt (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/252559 Title: apt-get install and remove should be consistent (w.r.t. asking confirmation) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
