[Bug 271665] Re: google earth hardlocks intrepid alpha 5
Google Earth is working flawless in 10.04. When I posted the bug, I used the version from the Google website. Right now I find it easiest to install the medibuntu one. -- google earth hardlocks intrepid alpha 5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271665 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 271665] Re: google earth hardlocks intrepid alpha 5
The latest full release has it working properly. With the final 10.04 I now only have an issue with a second monitor having an incorrect refresh rate due to kenel mode setting. Ati x1400 chipset in a lemovo t60. I await a fix other than disabling modesetting On 5/12/10, Vish wrote: > Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make > Ubuntu better. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Additional note to my comment above: after disabling not only "Atmosphere" but also "Water Surface" in Google-Earth, the system does not hang anymore and Googl-Earth performances well. -- google earth hardlocks intrepid alpha 5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271665 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 271665] Re: google earth hardlocks intrepid alpha 5
With Kubuntu 9.04, google-earth hangs when zooming in fast on a location. If performed slowly, Zooming in and out is possible for a while but after a while google-earth definitely will hang. Then, only the mouse cursor can be moved, but no other action is possible anymore. Shells are not accessable anymore and only resetting the system helps. As the the same google-earth version works fine in Kubuntu 8.04 with the latest fglrx driver (Katalyst 9.3) I suspect that the open source radeon driver of Kubuntu 9.04 might be responsible for the problem. [Bug 271665] Re: google earth hardlocks intrepid alpha 5
After my G-Earth crash the program did not show the planet anymore. I tried to reinstall G-E, but now the whole program fails to start. I will remove it and install the older version 4.2. But because of this I was not able to reproduce the crash. I added my recent Xorg.0.log.old. I don't know if it can help you? ** Attachment added: "Xorg.0.log.old" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/17867083/Xorg.0.log.old -- google earth hardlocks intrepid alpha 5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271665 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
