Hi, I've also encountered a similar error. However, I know that this is because my corporate firewall is blocking Ubuntu one. For e.g. when I click on System Preferences Ubuntu One Manage Accounts, the browser opens up and displays the proxy page You are not allowed access to this site. What I would like to request, however, is that this condition is trapped and an appropriate error message shown. Currently the error message is cryptic (for non-developers) and refers to a line of source code. I've attached a screenshot for reference. Hi, For me, this bug is following a fresh installation of Ubuntu 9.10 with the desktop i386 ISO file. I don't have tweak anything about Python and / or cURL, just tried the UbuntuOne client and it crashed poorly. And a complete system update at the date of my previous post don't change anything. Now, I use a custom sync system with rsync and unison on a dedicated server... I think, I can reproduce it in a few days (begeinning of next week for example) and try to strace or tcpdump things, explain me what you want exactly...
