it took a while but it finally showed up... the popup window is the black area in the upper right corner of the screen. This may be coming from the Rhythmbox music player. sorry, I had to go out of town unexpectedly. I'll try and do a screen capture tomorrow. I don't know for sure what is causing it but it appears to be related to ubuntuone. There is nothing in the pop-up that gives me any clue where it is coming from or what it is about. At one time I thought it may be related to an IP address conflict as a result of a system coming online. It could still be but I don't think so. I'll try but the window pops up for a few seconds then goes away. I think I saw an app to get a screenshot but I have not used it.
