[Bug 570734] Re: Screen brightness can not be set to maximum
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: Hi, I have HP Compaq nx6325 and Ubuntu Lucid. After a boot the screen is bright. If I try to decrease screen brightness and then increase brightness again to full, the screen does not become as bright as it is from the boot (even if the ubuntu screen brightness popup meter shows full). The full brightness can be restored only by booting the machine. - It also happens that if I haven't set the brightness and the screen is - bright and I push fn+f10 (which is a button to increase the screen - brightness) the screen actually becomes dimmer (ubuntu brightness popup - shows full value). + It also happens that if I haven't set the brightness and the screen is bright and I push fn+f10 (which is a button to increase the screen brightness) the screen actually becomes dimmer (ubuntu brightness popup shows full value). + --- + Architecture: amd64 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 + GnomeSessionIdleInhibited: No + GnomeSessionInhibitors: None + GnomeSessionSuspendInhibited: No + Lsusb: + Bus 003 Device 003: ID 413c:3012 Dell Computer Corp.
