[Bug 590698] Re: Evolution freezes (slows down) when composing new email
The problem was linked to a problem in package gnome-keyring. I solved my problem by downgrading gnome-keyring from 2.30.1-0ubuntu2 to 2.30.0-0ubuntu3. Downgrading gnome-keyring also solved some problems with network-manager (also freezing) and empathy (unaccessible accounts). As far as I am concerned this bug can be closed. Thank you for your message. Here is the backtace. It is the first time I am recording this so I'm not sure it contains all that you need to understand the bug. In fact, everyhting comes back to normal after the 30s freeze. So I exited evolution after the 30s freeze so that gdb will close as well.
