[Bug 592716] Re: Dual Monitor support
An even bigger problem that I noticed is that on dual monitor mode, the windows which are on the right display, the buttons, menu etc. appear on the left/main display. This happens when the applications are in fullscreen mode/maximized. -- Dual Monitor support https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/592716 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 592716] Re: Dual Monitor support
And here's one more use case. I have 2 ASUS netbooks + a desktop rigged thru a KVM. I'll strain my eyes when I'm on the road with a netbook, but at home there's only set of devices I can sit in front of. So my ext monitor usage is simply to get my entire screen there, or have same image on one or both when I'm away. Guess I'm another variant of the screen + projector case. -- Dual Monitor support https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/592716 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 592716] Re: Dual Monitor support
I use an Asus 1000 eeepc, with an Acer al1511 screen attached as a twin-head to get extra width. The Asus, like many laptops and netbooks, uses Fn-F8 to switch between several modes. 1. Just netbook screen - Unity works fine. 2. Just Acer (outboard) screen - fails to renegotiate window size properly. I've lost the left 30 mm 3. Twin-head mode, extra width - half-works. The two screens have different images on them, but they flash on and off, at about 2 second period. The desktop background is stable, but the windows disappear and re-appear every two seconds. 4. Twin-head mode, duplicated screens - works fine. So I'm better than 60% satisfied. Please keep going - I think UNITY looks fab so far. [Bug 592716] Re: Dual Monitor support
Yeah, I second this: a lot of people were using netbook-launcher in dual monitor support as we got a bunch of bug report about it. So it seems people uses their netbook with dual screen when at home. ** Changed in: unity Status: New = Triaged ** Also affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: unity Importance: Undecided = Wishlist ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Wishlist -- Dual Monitor support https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/592716 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
