[Bug 73405] Re: xsensors displays nothing and then crashes when closed.
Why should I sponsor this version, when you are working on getting the new upstream release packaged (bug #206862)? I built an i386 package for xsensors 0.60. Can you guys test it out? Be sure to run sesnsors-detect first. If xsensors still malfunctions, then I think we should remove it, else we should upgrade it - see Bug #206862 ** Attachment added: xsensors_0.60-1ubuntu4_i386.deb http://launchpadlibrarian.net/36303391/xsensors_0.60-1ubuntu4_i386.deb -- xsensors displays nothing and then crashes when closed. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/73405 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 73405] Re: xsensors displays nothing and then crashes when closed.
Same thing for the 0.60 version under lucid following Nanley suggestion. I get a tiny program window that, when resized, shows empty contents. I ran sensors-detect before running the program as indicated. IMHO, this is a non working program in the repositories. So, either someone fixes and packages it again, or we remove it from the repositories, the last being the better for now. I think he meant (or at least I do) that 'sensors' command displays correct info, like: $ sensors acpitz-virtual-0 Adapter: Virtual device temp1: +41.5°C (crit = +107.0°C) coretemp-isa- Adapter: ISA adapter Core 0: +35.0°C (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) coretemp-isa-0001 Adapter: ISA adapter Core 1: +36.0°C (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) while xsensors app doesn't work at all. What do you mean when you say sensors command works perfectly ? Are you referring to the sensors-detect command ? I can not speak for any of the previous releases but for me the Xsensor program has finally been fixed so that it works perfectly under Jaunty. I am seeing exactly the same behaviour in xsensors 0.46 (xsensors 0.46-1ubuntu1).
