[Bug 769665] Re: [GX700, Realtek ALC888, Black Headphone Out, Rear] No sound at all
Hello. I also have a MSI GX700 laptop with ALC888 and the speakers give no sound, the headphones work tho. The only sound I get is trough it's internal Sub-woofer. In my search for an easy solution that doesn't involve reverting from pulseaudio I have found that many have this problem on the GX700 and none a solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/769665 Title: [GX700, Realtek ALC888, Black Headphone Out, Rear] No sound at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/769665/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 769665] Re: [GX700, Realtek ALC888, Black Headphone Out, Rear] No sound at all
Hmm, this codec is being misconfigured. Both headphone and line-out wants to go through 0x0c, the speaker because of the fixed links alc880_idx_to_mixer(alc880_dac_to_idx(spec-multiout.dac_nids[i])) in alc880_auto_create_multi_out_ctls, and the headphones because of the fixed links alc880_idx_to_dac(alc880_fixed_pin_idx(pin)) in alc880_auto_create_extra_out. ** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/769665 Title: [GX700, Realtek ALC888, Black Headphone Out, Rear] No sound at all -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 769665] Re: [GX700, Realtek ALC888, Black Headphone Out, Rear] No sound at all
You indicate the first sound test succeeded but the second one failed, is this correct? Also, does this apply to the headphone only or the speaker as well? ** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/769665 Title: [GX700, Realtek ALC888, Black Headphone Out, Rear] No sound at all -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
