Updare: I haven't been experiencing this any more, but fullscreen never works. The picture moves several frames at a time and out of sync witth the audio. My workarounds are, if there is a temp file, such as videos on Youtube, I pause the youtube video and open the temp file in MoviePlayer and I can watch that in fullscreen. If there is no temp file generated, (in Filesystem/tmp), such as on Hulu, I always have to use the pop-out player, which is not a complete full screen. -- OS crash while veiwing Movies online https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/570888 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 606826] Re: Sync dajaxice 0.1.5-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
This new upstream version implements important changes: - Now dajaxice functions must be registered using dajaxice_functions.register instead of adding that functions to DAJAXICE_FUNCTIONS list inside settings.py. This pattern is very similar to django.contrib.admin model registration. - Now dajaxice functions could be placed inside any module depth. - With this approach dajaxice app reusability was improved. - Old style registration (using DAJAXICE_FUNCTIONS) works too, but isn't recommended. - New tests added. I second. However, the UI changes, if we remove a whole element. I suggest that the "bar background" was visible, but the "handle" was removed. [Bug 575186] Re: X locks up on Thinkpad X201 i5 Laptop

The older version of gdm is unmaintained and Ubuntu does not have the resources to continue maintaining it in an appropriate fashion. Furthermore, the new version that is missing XDMCP support is missing it because it's a redesign/rewrite of GDM that is not yet a feature-complete replacement - but as a result of that redesign, it brings in many other features that are not possible to retrofit onto the old version, which are also important to many users. So there is a tradeoff here. This is far from a simple case of Ubuntu ignoring the absence of XDMCP support; Ubuntu in fact held off the transition to the current upstream version of GDM for several releases until it had a feature set comparable to the previous version. Indeed, for XDMCP we /had/ planned to provide the old gdm implementation in parallel as a gdm-2.20 package, but owing to a miscommunication, this package was removed before the 10.04 release. :/ If support for XDMCP in gdm in future releases of Ubuntu is of concern to you, the most certain way to ensure this is by talking to the GDM upstream developers and make your needs known. -- Steve Langasek Give me a lever long enough and a Free OS Debian Developer to set it on, and I can move the world. [Bug 392369] Re: code in README.Debian incorrect, generates bad key
Fixed in lucid dkimproxy (1.2-3) unstable; urgency=low * v1.2-1: - New upstream version. - This new version removes dkimverify and dkimsign as they are already in the libmail-dkim-perl package in a newer version, also now, man pages of dkimproxy are referencing the pages of libmail-dkim-perl (Closes: #539497). - Fixes the README.Debian (Closes: #534650) - Fixed the watch file according to the new download page. - Now there's a /etc/default/dkimproxy where you can decide which proxy to start (dkimproxy.in, dkimproxy.out or both), where you store the private key for outbound signing, which username to run the daemon under, and what domain to use for signing (Closes: #519220, #493816). * v1.2-2: - Sets the parameters back like where they was in the Lenny version. * v1.2-3 - hostname -d is now the default again for outgoing signing, as it's otherwise breaking previous installs and that it really seems to be the obvious "normal" setup with _domainkey.example.com holding the key entry. -- Thomas Goirand Thu, 17 Dec 2009 14:01:29 +0800 ** Changed in: dkimproxy (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- code in README.Debian incorrect, generates bad key https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/392369 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 76593] Re: asus brightness hotkeys
I have an ugly workaround for my Asus K40IJ. Fn F5/F6 does nothing. The Brightness indicator flashes on the first push, and then seems to delay its indication long after I have pressed the keys. My default power management brightness is set to 30%, and the laptop appears to respect this option. However, upon adding the brightness applet and attempting to adjust the brightness, the screen instantly outputs at maximum brightness. No further toggling changes anything. However, the following solution works, albeit it only functions for individual windows, and not system wide. In CompizConfig Settings Manager > Accessibility > Opacity, Brightness and Saturation In the Brightness tab, I added key bindings to my scroll wheel that enabled me to change the brightness of the screen by scrolling at the right edge of the screen. It achieves what I want, and I wonder if this may be a clue to fixing this problem. -- asus brightness hotkeys https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/76593 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I have a special hardware that i am trying to make it work since the 9.10 and because not a lot of people use it with linux i feel always alone in front of this kind of problems... :( Ubuntu 64bits Alienware M17X Laptop 2x GTX260M Nvidia Intel Q9500 @2.5Ghz 4Go DDR3 SSD 64Gb + --- + AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.21. + Architecture: amd64 + ArecordDevices: + List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices + card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 0: STAC92xx Analog [STAC92xx Analog] +Subdevices: 1/1 +Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 + AudioDevicesInUse: + USERPID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/controlC0: jalik 1402 F pulseaudio + CRDA: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory + Card0.Amixer.info: + Card hw:0 'NVidia'/'HDA NVidia at 0xf088 irq 17' +Mixer name : 'IDT 92HD73C1X5' +Components : 'HDA:111d7675,102802a1,00100103' +Controls : 24 +Simple ctrls : 15 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release amd64 (20100429) + IwConfig: + lono wireless extensions. + + eth0 no wireless extensions. + MachineType: Alienware M17x + Package: linux (not installed) + ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-23-generic root=UUID=01c59d5f-f627-4812-ba09-1b6ac11f5719 ro splash + ProcEnviron: + LANG=fr_FR.utf8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-23.37-generic 2.6.32.15+drm33.5 + Regression: Yes + RelatedPackageVersions: linux-firmware 1.34.1 + Reproducible: Yes + RfKill: + + Tags: lucid graphics regression-update needs-upstream-testing + Uname: Linux 2.6.32-23-generic x86_64 + UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout lpadmin plugdev sambashare + dmi.bios.date: 01/06/2010 + dmi.bios.vendor: Alienware + dmi.bios.version: A03 + dmi.board.vendor: Alienware + dmi.board.version: A03 + dmi.chassis.type: 8 + dmi.chassis.vendor: Alienware + dmi.chassis.version: A03 + dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAlienware:bvrA03:bd01/06/2010:svnAlienware:pnM17x:pvrA0323:rvnAlienware:rn:rvrA03:cvnAlienware:ct8:cvrA03: + dmi.product.name: M17x + dmi.product.version: A0323 + dmi.sys.vendor: Alienware ** Attachment added: "AlsaDevices.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/52112770/AlsaDevices.txt -- Blank Screen After Softwares Update https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/606842 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
