[Bug 1033727] Re: USB passthrough doesn't work anymore with qemu-kvm 1.1.1
Very intresting News: After reverting to Ubuntu 9.10/Qemu 0.11.0 the USB-SIM-Reader didn´t work anymore. Same results as above. Maybe the qemu-version 1.2.0 caused the Kobil Systems GmbH mIDentity Light / KAAN SIM III to hang! After unplugging and plugin in to another usb-port it works again. Thank you for your report. I understand the difficulties you are facing, but it is expected to require sysadmin intervention to recover from filesystem corruption, so failure for the system to automatically do this is in general not a bug and thus inappropriate for this bug tracker. So since this looks like local disk corruption or a hardware problem, rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I'm marking this bug as Invalid. You can find pointers to get help for this sort of problem here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community If you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem, including steps to reproduce, and then change the bug status back to New. ** Changed in: mysql-5.5 (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to mysql-5.5 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1135374 Title: Re-installed MySQL to recreate /var/lib/mysql contents, after file- system was destroyed. package mysql-server-5.5 5.5.29-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.5/+bug/1135374/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Re: [Bug 1135453] [NEW] open-iscsi +mpio with multipathd init script order errors
On Thu, Feb 28, 2013 at 6:51 PM, Launchpad Bug Tracker 1135...@bugs.launchpad.net wrote: You have been subscribed to a public bug: when using open-iscsi and multipathd for a mpio setup there are several init script logical issues: when shutting down, the system does first stop multipathd and then try to umount the filesystem and then stop open-iscsi to the system hangs forever on shutdown. Killing the daemon shouldn't have direct impact on umount of the map, unless all the paths for that map go offline. If every operation goes in parallel (with my understanding of the new gen init services like upstart and systemd), and iscsi sessions get dropped before the umount, yes, you definitely will run into the hang situation. Again, the hang situation depends on how your multipath policy is configured. also when booting up it does mount the partition before multipathd and open-iscsi are ready and you get the ubuntu screen that the partition could not get mounted, do you want to skip. after bootup process you can however mount the partition without any issue. It is hard to make out what might be the cause from just the english explanation. Perhaps the multipath maintainer here can translate this to *Steps To Reproduce* and then investigate it further. ** Affects: multipath-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment -- open-iscsi +mpio with multipathd init script order errors https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1135453 You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to multipath-tools in Ubuntu. -- Ritesh Raj Sarraf RESEARCHUT - http://www.researchut.com Necessity is the mother of invention. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to multipath-tools in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1135453 Title: open-iscsi +mpio with multipathd init script order errors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/multipath-tools/+bug/1135453/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1136936] [NEW] growpart and cloud-utils should support growning mounted filesystem
Public bug reported: Under bug 1096999, we added support to util linux 'partx' to update the partition table information of a disk with a mounted partition. This takes advantage of kernel feature in 3.8.0. This actually removes the necessity of cloud-initramfs-growpart. We can now put that function into growpart and cloud-init instead. By doing so, we can actually make it able to be disabled from user-data, and not require ramdisk code.
