[Bug 1169404] Re: munin_stats fails due to being run as nobody
Thank you for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. On a fresh install of munin on both Precise and Raring, /etc/munin /plugin-conf.d/munin-node already contains user munin under [munin_stats]. Here are the equivalent URLs from VCS in bzr: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-branches/ubuntu/precise/munin/precise/view/head:/debian/plugins.conf http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-branches/ubuntu/raring/munin/raring/view/head:/debian/plugins.conf Please could you clarify what you are saying should be changed, exactly? On a fresh installation, exactly what is wrong? Or is this an upgrade issue, or an issue specific to your system? Quoting Pavel Bennett (launch...@pavelbennett.com): Btw, that queueing mode would simply mean not calling epoll_wait until the pid is available. This shouldn't require managing a queue ourselves. [Bug 1100843] Re: Live Migration Causes Performance Issues
The results of comment 23 suggest that the issue is not 100% reproducible. Can you please run the benchmark 3-4 times (presave/postrestore) and showall 4 results? One benchmark only, e.g. simple read will do. Also please try putting a big file on disk (something like dd if=/dev/zero of=bigfile count=64K bs=64K) and then doing cat bigfile /dev/null after restoring. Please check if that makes performance more consistent. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to qemu-kvm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1100843 Title: Live Migration Causes Performance Issues To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu/+bug/1100843/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 779921] Re: Unity makes usage of dual monitors impossible
I'm not sure if this is the place to report this, but this bug seems relevant to the problem I'm experiencing. Using raring beta, laptop thinkpad t400s with intel video and external monitor. Here are the steps to reproduce it: 1. I'm using the monitors in extended mode, no duplication. 2. I'm closing the lid of the laptop, thus the external becomes the main monitor. 3. Starting a video in full screen. 4. Opening the lid. The video driver freezes, with scratches and random colors on screen, and keeps frozen even if I close again the lid, or disconnect the external monitor. No effect. The graphical env needs a restart to fix this. I definitely had no such problems with quantal. Also, upon boot with dual monitor setup, after logging into the system, the screen stays shared between the two monitors(using half of each monitor) for a few seconds, and then gets ok on the both monitors. Not a critical issue, but this was introduced in raring. I haven't seen such issues in quantal too. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/779921 Title: Unity makes usage of dual monitors impossible To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/779921/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1164093] Re: FFe: new upstream release 9.1.1
** Description changed: The Ubuntu X team would like to push mesa 9.1.1 for raring. It has been on a staging ppa for roughly two months now, and we've tested it on a variety of hw. During this time we've identified a regression with the Intel driver having a slow blur effect, causing issues with kwin and Unity dash. [Bug 1169449] [NEW] libreoffice writer crashes after clicking on formula SIGSEGV
Public bug reported: Libreoffice writer crashes after clicking repeatingly on formulas. Unfortunately I can't tell how to exactly reproduce the issue, as it feels non deterministic for me. The following steps are the basic steps to be able to reproduce it: 1. Open the attached ODF-Document 2. Insert a new Formula at the end of the document (e.g. ABC) 3. Leave the formula editor by clicking in the text 4. Perform the following steps until it crashes - Double / Multiple click on an already existing formula (not the created formula) - Click in the text to leave the formula editor 5. libreoffice writer crashes with a core dump (SIGSEGV) I'm very sorry that I can't give a more deterministic way to reproduce the issue. [Bug 1169456] [NEW] Duplicate package
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 13.04 contains 2 packages with the same software: - jplayer: Ubuntu-only package, contains an old version (1.2.0). It was also available in 12.10. - libjs-jquery-jplayer + jquery-jplayer-bluemonday + jquery-jplayer-pinkflag: the Debian package (which I'm the maintainer of), contains a newer version (2.1.0, to be updated this week due to a security fix). It has become available in 13.04. IMHO, jPlayer should be provided with the libjs-jquery-jplayer package and the 'jplayer' package be reduced to a transitional package. The transition plan would be like this: - I will add to libjs-jquery-jplayer these fields: Replaces: jplayer ( 2.1.0~) and Conflicts: jplayer ( 2.1.0~) and maintain them at least until Ubuntu 12.10 runs ouf of support. - You will add to jplayer this field: Depends: libjs-jquery-jplayer. This package needs to be separately maintained because I will not be providing it in Debian (it is not required and violates the archive policy). [Bug 1013626] Re: systemsettings crashed with ImportError in /usr/share/kde4/apps/language-selector/language-selector.py: No module named LanguageSelector.qt.QtLanguageSelector
Yes it works after installing the packages kde-l10n-de kde-l10n-zhcn and then moving german and chinese to the right. But I still consider this as a bug: It is not obvious to the user that he has to manually install his langauges - and it used to work in earlier Ubutnu releases. First of all: All languages should be presented in the list to the right, but not all are. Second: If the user choses a language, the necessary packages should be installed.
