[Bug 1615293] [NEW] Remove node-mapnik 3.5.13+dfsg-1~exp2 from yakkety
Public bug reported: The mapnik family of packages have been synced from Debian experimental (without coordinating with the maintainers in Debian) because mapnik 3.0.11 doesn't support Boost 1.61. Now that the DebianImportFreeze has started the final version (which hasn't been released yet) won't be find its way into the yakkety release. Syncing the mapnik packages from Debian experimental was very premature. In the future, please don't sync packages from experimental unless explicitly asked to by the maintainers in Debian, or talk to maintainers in Debian before doing so. The mapnik family of packages in their current shape should not ship with yakkety, please remove them before the yakkety release. In the future, when packages break due to transitions as these, remove the packages (or move them to proposed) instead of diverging from Debian. Packages in universe are pretty much unmaintained in Ubuntu, and removing such packages is preferable over shipping not properly integrated packages. ** Affects: node-mapnik (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1615293 Title: Remove node-mapnik 3.5.13+dfsg-1~exp2 from yakkety To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/node-mapnik/+bug/1615293/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: The mapnik family of packages have been synced from Debian experimental (without coordinating with the maintainers in Debian) because mapnik 3.0.11 doesn't support Boost 1.61. [Bug 1615305] [NEW] Output when changing comment is weird and badly documented
Public bug reported: Changing a key comment within a private key might not be something you do on a daily basis, but it is mostly a frustrating task, since the documentation is incomplete and wrong. In particular the man page says: -c Requests changing the comment in the private and public key files. This operation is only supported for RSA1 keys and keys stored in the newer OpenSSH format. The program will prompt for the file containing the private keys, for the passphrase if the key has one, and for the new comment. So, one gets the impression that this is not applicable to newer keys. However bug #811125 dealt with this, and there was a commit (see [1]) that added support for basically all key types. In the case of RSA keys one has to use the new key format though (-o), which can only be find out with trial and error and is not documented at all. Furthermore the output of an actual ssh-keygen run is also confusing: [kbabioch@antares .ssh]$ ssh-keygen -c -C "new comment" -f id_rsa -o Enter passphrase: Key now has comment '(null)' The comment in your key file has been changed. The output tells me that the key is now empty (null). However the comment is correctly set, so while this works as intended, it is confusing to the user. I noticed that my /run mounted as tmpfs and is 371M and just used 1.5M. There is still plenty of room. My system is installed in the second disk (/dev/sdb1) and boot loader in /dev/sda is the grub. After the installation failed, I can find the vmlinuz and initrd.img are already installed in the /boot. One thing odd is that the driver /lib/modules/ took 192M, while the newly installed /lib/modules/3.16.0-73-generic used 33M and the same size by /lib/modules/3.16.0-76-generic. [Bug 1615184] Re: systemd update breaks screen lock, dpms, startup programs
Reading the associated Debian bug (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=834367), it's a different one from this bug. That bugs refers to issues after running systemctl daemon-reexec (which happens when systemd is upgraded) caused by keypresses being sent to a tty console as well as to the X session, and the workaround is to reboot. This bug occurs with the latest systemd installed even after a reboot, and is not related to the systemd upgrade process. I have certainly seen all those issues when systemd is upgraded (usually one of my monitors turns off, even though it is set to be on; I have seen the keypresses echoed to a tty console; I have had the system reboot on CTRL-ALT-DEL even though I was in an X-session; and I have seen it switch to tty consoles unexpectedly from an X-session). So just to be clear: _this_ bug occurs after any number of reboots with systemd 231-4 installed. It does not occur with systemd 231-1 installed. It does not appear to be related to http://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=834367. (Really, I would not have reported a bug if I knew there was an upgraded version of the relevant package available.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1615184 Title: systemd update breaks screen lock, dpms, startup programs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1615184/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
