[Bug 1650336] Re: NFS client : kernel 4.4.0-57 crash with nfsv4 enries in /etc/fstab
Hm, sorry i hope there was no misunderstanding ?! As i mentioned some times before, there was a strange behaviour when i test the kernels the first time. Sometimes a kernel boot successfully for one or two times and crash not before the third try ... I could reproduce this behaviour on different computers, but at the beginning of the tests i declare kernel would be ok by mistake this way. Maybe someone else are able to explain such a behaviour ... When i tested the kernels the second time, i try to boot every kernel three time to ensure getting the correct tag. *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1659922 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1659922 Just my 2 cents: we had the same problem here after the Firefox 51.0.1 update (just one machine is affected anyway, the others updated with no problem). The error message is NOT related to python, but I get graphics errors like the ones seen in bug #1643200: [GFX1]: Failed 2 buffer db=0 dw=0 for 0, 0, 1920, 876 [GFX1]: Failed 2 buffer db=0 dw=0 for 0, 0, 1920, 876 [GFX1]: Failed 2 buffer db=0 dw=0 for 0, 0, 1920, 876 Anyway, excluding Firefox from Apparmor (as with the OP's first suggestion) works around the problem. [Bug 1647204] Re: 1.8.0-2 FTBFS in zesty 17.04
I don't think Barry included the patch against entropy starvation in his PPA so It's expected that it would hang. I've discussed possibly high resource usage of the gpgme test suite (there were also other complaints) and we reduced it accordingly: https://git.gnupg.org/cgi- bin/gitweb.cgi?p=gpgme.git;a=commitdiff;h=7bd6ab4a91d43d7cbf5d347c0c12e0e4f9f7e3bf This might fix the armhf error in t-thread-keylist-verify Is there still something open here that would block GpgME-1.8 from making it into ubuntu? [Bug 573618] Re: Installer does not detect hard drive partitions
I'm new to launchpad, but I've been using Ubuntu personally and at work for many years now. I never had this problem until yesterday. A 250GB Disk with Ubuntu 14.04 32bit installed. Put it into a new computer which is capable of 64bit. Realized that a reinstall would be the best option and rebooted with Ubuntu 14.04 USB stick to install Ubuntu. Same error: Step 3 "Installation Type" shows the disk in the dropdown without a name and absolutely no partitions -> no way to install. The disk is fine though, I can even boot the 32bit Ubuntu etc. After stumbling upon this thread, doing a simple "dmraid -r -E", I could install just fine. The disk was NEVER used in a raid, Ubuntu 32bit was installed from CDROM or USB stick as well without any issues. Seems to happen not very often, but to improve ubiquity I would too suggest to check for broken raid metadata and inform the user instead of leaving him in the dark. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/573618 Title: Installer does not detect hard drive partitions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/573618/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

If O_EXCL is not present, the files are created normally. [Bug 1659950] Re: rsync -u --inplace --partial -a can't resume transfer
Researching more, I see POSIX has NO way to disable mtime updating while calling write()'s, so there is no way to atomically leave a partial file with an mtime=0 mark while using --inplace. "rsync --update --partial" (no --inplace) can do it because it transfers first to a temporal file, then updates his mtime (to 0 if unsuccessful, or to the original file mtime if transfer completed), and then rename()'s the file. So now I think this can't be solved, but a warning should be placed in the rsync manpage about this "-u --partial" unexpected behavior. [Bug 1660280] [NEW] Users get misleading warning at first login when nautilus-admin is installed
Public bug reported: When I install nautilus-admin package on Ubuntu, then all users get misleading warning at first login after installation: "The file manager must be restarted in order to start the Nautilus Admin extension." This warning should be moved from nautilus-admin package debian/postinst script to package's description or /usr/share/doc/nautilus- admin/README.Debian, because of 2 reasons: 1. User's should not be disturbed about installed nautilus extensions, this info is useful only for system administrator, so, it belongs to package's description or /usr/share/doc/nautilus-admin/README.Debian 2. Prompting "every" user instead of system administrator violates Debian policy, see www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch- binary.html#s-maintscriptprompt Prompting must be done by *communicating through a program, such as debconf*, which conforms to the Debian Configuration Management Specification, version 2 or higher. ** Affects: nautilus-admin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1660280 Title: Users get misleading warning at first login when nautilus-admin is installed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus-admin/+bug/1660280/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1607938] Re: mysql_upgrade: Got error: 1045: Access denied for user 'debian-sys-maint'@'localhost' (using password: YES) while connecting to the MySQL server
I got the same error yesterday. I installed mariadb in the past, but forgot about this and then tried to use and install mysql. My solution was a complete uninstall of mysql and mariadb and a clean install of mariadb. Especially the fact that Gerardo tries to connect to a mysql server, but mysql-server-5.7 is not installed on his/her machine makes me think that mariadb might be involed, because I got equal error messages. [Bug 170225] Re: relative image paths instead of absolute
@Jarl, I can confirm that Inkscape crashes when linking a JPG and a GIF file with 0.91 for Windows 8 -64-bit). The good news is that I can't reproduce the bug with 0.92 on the same computer. As of the file with both relative and absolute links, I can't reproduce the crash at all, even with 0.91. Could you please try with 0.92 and confirm it's fixed? [Bug 1660333] [NEW] python3-aiohttp depends on python3-multidict < 2.0
Public bug reported: DISTRIB_RELEASE=16.10 (Yakkety) Package: python3-aiohttp Version: 0.22.4-1 and Package: python-multidict Version: 2.0.1-1 python3-aiohttp is not compatible with python3-multidict versions 2.0 and higher. Unfortunately yakkety only ships multidict version 2.0.1 at the time of reporting this. As a consequence, python3-aiohttp is broken and just does not work at all. Running the example web-server from the documentation: async def hello(request): return web.Response(body=b"Hello, world") app = web.Application() app.router.add_route('GET', '/', hello) web.run_app(app) Will always return 405: Method Not Allowed It should instead return a web-page saying "Hello World". Either python3-aiohttp needs to be upgraded to version 1.0 or newer, or python3-multidict version 1.2.2 needs be be provided as install candidate. I suppose updating python3-aiohttp is easier in this case, and preferred anyway. ** Affects: python-aiohttp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1660333 Title: python3-aiohttp depends on python3-multidict < 2.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-aiohttp/+bug/1660333/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
