[Bug 1680904] Re: zesty unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference
I am having this issue on Xubuntu Xenial with the linux-generic- hwe-16.04-edge kernel. It happened once a long time ago, but now it is happening again. This bug happens when the system is under load and more graphical load is demanded. On my specific case, when my system is already under some load and then I open a software which demands both high video memory (shared memory) and RAM memory, as games can do, then the system freezes. I can see the memory usage increase while the software is loading, until the system completely freezes. To reboot, the two options are a hard reset or SysRq keys. My computer is a Lenovo Ideapad 310, with a Intel Core i3-6100U, with a Intel HD Graphics 520 graphical chip. It has 4 GB of RAM and, when the bug happens, there is always heavy RAM usage. This bug never happened to me without high RAM usage. This bug is not easy to reproduce, but with some tries while the system is under load it is possible to freeze the system. Here is my log. I was watching a video on YouTube while I was chatting in Discord, with Steam opened and was loading the game Robocraft. Basically, heavy load. As the Robocraft loaded, it required both RAM and video memory, which weren't plentiful due to the other software's usage. Then it crashed. [Bug 1697159] [NEW] Installation of Ubuntu Mate 17.04 crashed due to EFI problems in Grub
Public bug reported: Today, my Ubuntu 17.04 Laptop didn't start because it couldn't anything to boot (it still worked like charm yesterday). Installation asked my, whether I wanted to continue in EFI-Mode possibly giving away the possibility to boot into existing BIOS-installation (which don't work anyway at the moment). Released versions do not matter regarding the overall bug state. [Bug 1697197] [NEW] gnome-clocks notification area clears when you add a new world clock
You have been subscribed to a public bug: The world times are shown in the gnome notification area. If you open gnome-clocks and add a new world clock, and then click on the notification area in the task-bar, the section showing world times is no longer visible. [Bug 1697208] [NEW] Installing karbon also installs calligrawords, calligrastage, and calligrasheets
Public bug reported: I installed karbon, and calligrawords, calligrastage, and calligrasheets were also installed. All of these packages require calligra-libs as a dependency. However, calligra-libs lists calligrawords, calligrastage, and calligrasheets as dependencies. This seems odd that the library (calligra-libs) depends on the applications (calligrawords, calligrastage, and calligrasheets)? Please check if this is an oversight in setting up the dependencies for the deb package, or if these applications are actually needed by karbon (and/or calligra-libs). ** Affects: calligra (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1697208 Title: Installing karbon also installs calligrawords, calligrastage, and calligrasheets To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/calligra/+bug/1697208/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1697221] [NEW] Wrapping for labels breaks words
Public bug reported: Labels for some items in Gnome Control Center are too long to fit on a single line. As a result they must continue onto a second line. ISSUE: Labels do not break at work boundaries. Instead, they break in the middle of words. (See attached screenshot). Examples: Region & Lan guage Mouse & Touch pad EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: Labels should break at work boundaries (i.e. spaces between words). Examples: Region & Language Mouse & Touchpad (If a word is too long and must break in the middle, then conventional word hyphenation rules should be applied, or an exception may be made to keep the code simple. This may occur if new items with very long names are added to the control center in the future, or for accessibility reasons where very large fonts are used). ADDITIONAL INFO: The font used in the screenshots is Liberation Sans Regular 10. (However, the word wrapping behavior should be independent of the font and size used). $ uname -a Linux PS001 4.10.0-22-generic #24-Ubuntu SMP Mon May 22 17:43:20 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux $ lsb_release --all No LSB modules are available. [Bug 1697201] [NEW] snap find should allow searching non-stable channels
Public bug reported: Many of the 'snap' command-line commands respect --beta or --channel=beta (or --edge) but not 'snap find'. This makes it more difficult for people to be able to test snaps that haven't been pushed to stable yet. It also makes it difficult for developers to know whether someone has already started working on a snap for a particular app which could lead to work being duplicated. https://snapcraft.io/docs/reference/snap-command ** Affects: snapd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1697201 Title: snap find should allow searching non-stable channels To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/1697201/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
