[Bug 253910] Re: package winbind 2:3.2.0-4ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2
The original bug is fixed. The problem now though, is when you upgrade, dpkg runs the old prerm script which tries to stop winbind. This procedure fails due to the syntax error in the old init script, which prevents the upgrade. You can work around this by hand-editing /etc/init.d/winbind before you attempt the upgrade -- package winbind 2:3.2.0-4ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/253910 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 303059] Re: Samba segfaults four-five times a day on Ubuntu Server (both hardy and intrepid)
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. I've just pushed http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mozillateam/firefox/firefox-4.0.head/revision/822 , which means that firefox-dev will provide a mozilla-plugin pkgconfig file now (but I'm not sure I should upload this until after beta now). In any case, the only open items are browser plugins, which is a pretty good situation to be in. We could easily clear those remaining ones the day after beta release (and with the firefox change, it should just mean adding firefox-dev to the build-deps) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to gwt in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/740815 Title: [FFe] Updates to enable us to drop xulrunner from main -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 740815]
I've actually packaged this in Ubuntu now, but I hit a couple of unexpected issues: 1) js-config --libs doesn't return the right linker flags (-lmozjs) 2) Even though it builds an ABI versioned so, the soname of the resulting ELF binary is still unversioned (ie, libmozjs185.so rather than libmozjs185.so.1.0). This would mean we couldn't support multiple ABI's, which would make it difficult to do an ABI transition in the future. I have patches for both of these problems, although the patch for 2) is a bit hacky. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to gwt in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/740815 Title: [FFe] Updates to enable us to drop xulrunner from main -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 295119] [NEW] [needs-packaging] Moonlight - Open source implementation of Silverlight
Public bug reported: Moonlight is an open source implementation of Silverlight (http://silverlight.net), primarily for Linux and other Unix/X11 based operating systems. In September of 2007, Microsoft and Novell announced a technical collaboration that includes access to Microsoft's test suites for Silverlight and the distribution of a Media Pack for Linux users that will contain licensed media codecs for video and audio. [Bug 219116] Re: Screen brightness doesn't work with Samsung R70 T7300 Despina
Groschensammler - I spoke to drunkenkilla on IRC, and he experiences the same behaviour as you. It seems the patch maps the brightness keys to the correct Xkeysyms, because you both see the brightness indicator on the screen, but something else is happening. I assume that you are both using the NVIDIA proprietary driver? Would you mind trying my patch with the open source nv or vesa driver instead? [Bug 282907] Re: package hotkey-setup 0.1-23ubuntu6 failed to install/upgrade: subproces post-installation script gaf een foutwaarde 2 terug
tocotac - I think you've got a different problem. The original issue was that the script would error if the thinkpad-acpi module failed to load. That is fixed now, and the script will finish gracefully if the module doesnt load. However your problem seems to be that the thinkpad-acpi module loads successfully, but the stuff that should be in /sys is not there. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it without more information. Please include the following additional information, if you have not already done so (pay attention to lspci's additional options), as required by the Ubuntu Kernel Team: 1. Please include the output of the command uname -a in your next response. It should be one, long line of text which includes the exact kernel version you're running, as well as the CPU architecture. 2. Please run the command dmesg dmesg.log after a fresh boot and attach the resulting file dmesg.log to this bug report. 3. Please run the command sudo lspci -vvnn lspci-vvnn.log and attach the resulting file lspci-vvnn.log to this bug report. 4. Please run modinfo b44 and paste the output.
